MLB has fallen so far, there is no talk of that horrific check swing strike?

MLB is so sad.

How long has it been around? 150 years? This is easily the worst check swing strike 3 ever called.

Not reviewable

That was ugly.

How about this... apparently players don't have to stay on the base path while running to first. Instead they can run anywhere they want on the field and intentionally get in the way of the throw to home plate. Absolutely ridiculous.  How is this legal?

In regular speed it looked like he swung.  Slowed down it was clear that he didn't.  50/50 call.  There are much worse out there.

I think so. About half the time that will (incorrectly) be called a strike.  :dunno:

By the home plate umpire, maybe. Not the 1st base umpire. he has the best angle in the stadium

As a huge Giants fan, it was a very sucky way to end the year, but I agree with you 100%

To end a regular season game that way is one thing, even a playoff game. To end a series on that is unforgiveable.

That was awful, especially in a clinching game of a playoff series

San Francisco has decriminalized theft, so this is legal.

If they played better in the series it wouldn't have had to come down to 1 blown call :bench:

Apparently the rule only has to do with interfering with the first baseman taking the throw, not making one.
