Gotta say Gronk.  The only blemish on his awesome career was that bullsh1t WWE move on Bills defender that could've seriously injured him.

The problem with Gronk is he's not a real tight end. Because in my view, a real tight end blocks. Great TE are fantastic run blockers. ever seen that dude throw a block? He's basically Shannon Sharpe without the big lips.

Solid. My Boys suffered for years after he hung em up.

As a homer I gotta go with Witten. He brought us back.

my rank

1) Ditka- was first true threat receiving and was a beast blocking

2) Winslow- without Kellen the TE position may have never evolved the way it has

3) Gates- An UDFA basketball player who was the best player using his body to make catches I have ever seen

4) Gonzo- Another hoopster, probably without him Gates doesn't exist so maybe flip these 2, however Gonzalez also played football in college and was a 1st round draft pick, so I am more impressed with Gates.  Took the receiving TE to the next level

5) Kelce- Best Modern day receiving TE, dude is the only guy who could actually lead the league in receiving yards from the TE position

Honorable Mention- Gronk (Dominant, but stat wise doesnt rank, product of Brady?)

I don't know if you're being sarcastic, you're drunk, or you're stupid, but Gronk's always been a very good blocker.

If you go by stats it's gotta be Gonzalez.

Over 15K yards and 111 TD's. 3rd on the all time receptions list.

Gonzalez has 370 more receptions and 3,286 more yards than Gates.

But, yeah, Gates has 5 more TD's. :dunno:

Wow. A fantasy football site full of people who judge the best tight ends in the history of football solely on fantasy stats.

Go figure.

It's a shame they don't know football outside of looking at their yearly draft rankings.

So who you got ? And I agree. It shouldn’t be based on fantasy stats.

I posted it above. And Raider Haters seems to agree as well. Ditka. No question.
