How much interest do you have for Braves/Asstros ??

Recommended Posts

I have been to a couple Astros games, but still not that interested.

I will only watch a game 7 if it makes it that far.

Zero.  I think MLB should cancel the entire World Series over those evil GA voting laws. :nono:

what a pickle.  either they hand the trophy to a bunch of cheaters or to Georgia after they moved the all star game out of Georgia.

I won't watch, just like I haven't watched any of the other series either.  I don't care much for baseball unless I'm there live.  However, I am enjoying the fact that the WS is being held in these two particular states after MLB pulled the ASG from Atlanta for no good reason.

Been waiting since 1999 to finally see the Braves get back to the Series…

Maybe then can end their drought like the Dodgers did last year…

It’s why I wanted Red Sox/Dodgers. With Sox beating Dave Roberts

the braves dont have a drought.  a 1/3rd of the league has either never won it or last won it in 1990 or earlier.  hell, their 10 appearances put them as the 9th most frequent.

I’ve been to three World Series games, even though I live four miles from MMP.  I have absolutely zero interest.

dodgers have to be pissed, what a failed dynasty in baseball.

GO ASTROS!

We went to the game Friday, and that was great. Highest-level playoff game I've attended.

Thought about going to the World Series, but tickets are way too expensive.

Its not over yet.

The Dodgers big free agents are:  Max Sherzer, Klayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen, Corey Seager and Chris Taylor.

The 2022 are:

C Will Smith
1B Max Muncy
2B Gavin Lux
SS Trea Turner
3B Justin Turner
OF:  Betts, Bellinger, Pollock

Rotation:

Walker Buehler
Julio Urias
Tony Gonsolin
David Price
Dustin May (returns in mid-season from Tommy John surgrey)

They will need to find a DH (the NL will get the DH starting next year).  They likely will need 2 starting pitchers.  They need a closer / relievers.  The Dodgers payroll will drop sginificantly with Kershaw and possibly Bauer off the roster.  They could resign Sherzer.  But this isn't the end.  NEXT year may be the end, as Pollock, Trea Turner, Justin Turner and Max Muncy are all free agents.

Ah, that's too bad. Although I was never a National League fan, I always respected the enormous rules twist with the added flavor and differing pitching substitution strategies between the AL and NL in regards to the designated hitter.

Dodgers should sign Eddie Rosario IMO.

Wasn't the manager of the Red Sox (Alex Cora) one of the ringleaders of the Astros cheating scandal?

It isn’t official yet but will probably be discussed during the new CBA  during the off-season…. The DH was one the worst rule changes that has happened in the history of this game and hopefully it will stay of the NL next year…

The rule changed while I was in diapers and since I grew up as a Tigers fan in the American League, I don't mind it as it's all I've ever known. But if they are set on changing it to have uniformity between the two leagues, I agree with you, it ought to be scrapped and revert back to how it was with both not having a DH, as that requires a heck of a lot more strategy/work for the managers and, in turn, more intrigue in the game.

I don't have too much interest in this. I used to hate Atlanta, now I'm meh. But, I can't root for Houston. So, I guess I'll root for Atlanta, and hope they take it in 4 or 5, so the league has to present the trophy in the state of Georgia. Hopefully, a small crowd of wokesters protests outside the stadium That'd be good for a laugh.
