Fearsome 22 Posted November 1, 2021 What are everyone's thoughts about the production we can expect from Tannehill, AJ Brown and Julio Jones (one he comes back from injury) without Henry drawing maximum attention? I think that their numbers should actually go down. Tannehill is a game manager and now he won't have 8 stacking the box leaving wide open lanes for him to get the ball to Brown and Jones. Sucks for AJ, he was rounding into form and now he'll be doubled most of the time.
Hardcore troubadour 14,546 Posted November 1, 2021 Based on volume, Tannehill should go up, and he should run more. Bad news for AJ.
Jarvis Basnight 119 Posted November 1, 2021 That play action won't scare anyone with Adrian Peterson or whatever other below replacement level they bring in. Good luck with that passing game.
weepaws 3,067 Posted November 1, 2021 1. I wouldn’t count on J Jones much. 2. Tannehill is going to pass more. But might be less productive.
jrokh 600 Posted November 1, 2021 AJ was doubled all last year and still had a monster season. Expect AJ targets to go up with a slight decrease in efficiency. TDs will likely go up without Henry taking most of them.

Defenses completely change what they do now.

Teams can try and stop him, but again they also tried last year with constant double teams…
Skinny_Bastard 157 Posted November 2, 2021 No more stacking the boxes. AJ will see more double coverage. I think Julio's number will be drastically improved.
TBayXXXVII 2,431 Posted November 2, 2021 Maybe opens up some more work for the TE's.
