Titans Defense surging, yet mostly unrostered

Recommended Posts

Nobody can forget the overtime loss stink to the Jets in Week 4. Since then... 5 straight wins.  Coming off a monster defensive effort at the Rams. Consistently getting turnovers and D line destroying QBs.

Week 10: Saints

Week 11: Texans

Week 12: @ Patriots

Week 13: --Bye--

Week 14: Jaguars

Week 15: @ Steelers

Week 16: Niners

Week 17: Dolphins

...................................................................

That bye week stinks because I want them rest of season. If the defense continues last week's pace... pray for Trevor Siemian.

I think the days of having a defense you can just set in your starting line up are pretty much over with.

They seem to stay good for a few games before they either meet a high powered offense that destroys them or the NFL figures them out.

They do have an excellent set of match ups the rest of the way though. That's as important as anything.

Great streaming option.

I carried two defenses to pick up Tampa Bay when they were dropped over BYE. Titans were an option also.

Here is a nice way to see the DST remaining schedules. With Tampa I may just need to pick one extra DST up for the week vs Buffalo

The Rams top 3 offense didn't destroy them.  The opposite happened.

After that performance, I'd pit them against anyone... especially those bums on the remaining schedule.

I picked up TB after they were dropped for their bye week.  I also have PIT going this weekend and then likely rolling TB the rest of the way...

Have to admit, that's a hell of a three-game streak by the Titans D.

Patriots have been impressive over the last 3 as well, although the opponents (sans the Chargers) were very favorable.

Hell, the Giants have had a good 3 game span, except for the Chiefs game, but it wasn't too terrible.

Too bad they're on bye this week

I have a tough time staying with one def over a few games at most depending on matchups.

Titans Vs Saints is a good matchup.

I thought the same about the Bengals DST vs. Baker's Browns.

I like them against the texans and Jags and phins.   the rest are hit or miss.

They were picked up in all of my leagues this week, one by me, one I missed out on them on waivers, the other I stuck with who I had

When I posted this, Yahoo showed Titans Defense at 40%+- ownership. It's now 76%.

Gonna be over 90% by week 11 vs Texans, especially if they dominate the Saints as expected.

Almost every year there is a DEF that has been pretty terrible that surges in the 2nd half. I feel like it’s been N.O. DEF the past few years. Maybe it’s TEN this year?  They do have a pretty good remaining schedule and held their own vs some pretty good offenses the past few weeks. Im starting them over DAL D this week.

Yeah, definitely glad I picked up Tennessee over Dallas...

Worse yet, I dropped Dallas and used #3 waiver last week to get Titans.

They didn't have Dallas stats (nobody saw that coming, hell I started Matt Ryan)... but Titans D was decent: 4 sacks, 1 turnover, 21 points allowed.  Bring on Texans.

I’m rotating AZ and TEN D/ST rest of year.

Definitely should have sat AZ and started TEN 😠

sometimes its about injuries.

sometimes its a case where you get some new players on D and it takes a while for the team to learn to play together.  then all of a sudden BOOM!  it clicks.

and when it does.... watch out!
