UTIL Eduardo Escobar from Brewers to Mets, 2 years, $20mm, option for third year.  Hit .253 & 28 HRs in 2021.
OF Mark Canha from Athletics to Mets, 2 years, $26.5mm, option for third year.  He SUCKED in 2021, .231 and 17 HRs.  32 years old.  Dumb Mets.
RP Kendall Graveman from Astros to White Sox, 3 years, $24mm.  White Sox lost a few bullpen guys so this fills the gap.  Astros have nothing to show for Abraham Toro, who was dealt to the Mariners for Graveman.

Padres trade 2B Adam Frazier to Mariners for 2 prospects.  Big upgrade over 2B Dylan Moore for the Ms.  Frazier will be a free agent at the end of the year.

Padres made out well, Frazier was useless, emptiest 300 hitter I have ever seen, decent defense, not even doubles pop and no speed

Padres got a high upside first year player who posted a .380/460/590 line in first season, and a lefty that touches 100 who had 66 k's in 30 some innings

The guy that "touches 100"? Reminds me of Kevin Costner saying "hit the mascot".

A Mariner fan and a Padre fan accusing each other of being jealous. Priceless.

Not really "stud". I'm (since 1967) a Red Sox fan, I just like kinda sympathizing with the Mariners because they just don't get it. You sound like a VERY bitter yankee (HAHAHAHAHAHA-LOSER) fan? DEAL WITH IT. Boston OWNS you.

Rangers just spent 500 million!!! on 2 players

And that’s about 50 million in tax savings for those players going to Texas vs NY, California, Boston, Chicago and every other over taxed blue state. Nice work libtards.

True, but they didn't have much on the books to begin with that had guaranteed money in 2022, so they can spend like this...

Believe it. I didn’t even include property tax. Bad news for the Yankees and other big spenders. Look how much the Mets had to pay a 37 year old pitcher and give him an out and no trade clause.  When the numbers get this big the tax issue becomes a thing.

@Mookz:

The Orioles have released right-handed pitcher Brooks Kriske, according to the MLB.com transactions tracker.

Kriskie, who turns 28 in February, was selected by the Yankees in the sixth round of the 2016 draft. He climbed his way up the ranks of the minors and eventually made his MLB debut in 2020. However, he’s been given very limited opportunities at the big league level thus far, only logging 15 innings in the past two seasons combined. He has an unsightly 14.40 ERA in that small sample, but has been much better in the minors.

At Triple-A this year, between the Yankees’ and Orioles’ systems, he threw 29 1/3 innings with an ERA of 3.68, along with a hefty strikeout rate of 37.4%, but a lofty walk rate of 12.2%. The Orioles claimed him on waivers from the Yankees in September, but he wasn’t able to hold onto his roster spot through the winter. He is still young and has an option year remaining, which could give him some appeal to other clubs as a depth signing.

The release of Kriske means Baltimore now has 39 players on their 40-man roster, allowing them to potentially use that open spot in the Rule 5 draft. The rebuilding Orioles have been quite active in recent Rule 5 drafts, making three selections in 2017, one in 2018 and then two selections in both 2019 and 2020. The draft is scheduled to take place December 9, but could be delayed by the lockout and transaction freeze that are expected to follow the expiration of the CBA on December 1.

My Rangers spending money, big money??? :shocking:

I don't know if it will work, especially w/out arms - but it's at least nice to see.

They said they were going to spend and they are following through...

From what I have heard, they are talking to the Reds about their starters...
