Non PPR Flex: Michael Pittman Vs Myles Gaskin

Pittman @ Bills   *fewest fantasy points to the WR position*

Gaskin @ Jets     *most fantasy points to the RB position*

 

Gaskin isn’t a very good running back, & the Dolphins have a poor offensive line = awful stats for Gaskin, but..................

1: His only real competition, Malcolm Brown, will be out @ least one more week. 
2: He has a season long trend of doing well on odd weeks & poorly on evens.

I tried to beat that tread last week, and it didn’t work, I’m taking Gaskin.  But I think it’s very close.

I really hate the idea of setting Pittman. He's been very good to me, but I'm leaning towards Myles too.

Dolphins promoted RB Duke Johnson to the active roster.

Johnson, who was cut from the Texans earlier this year and spent time on Jacksonville's practice squad, will be making his 2021 debut. This gives Miami a third option in the backfield behind Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed with Malcolm Brown (quad) on IR. Johnson should see most of his snaps on passing downs in Week 11 against the Jets.

 

I figure this means one of 2 things.

1: Malcolm Brown is going to be out longer than expected.

2: The Dolphins think Duke is a better passing down option. Bad news 4 Gaskin if that's the case. He has 38 receptions on the year.

Not horrible news, I think that’s the Duke isn’t what he once was, but it sure looks like that would put a limit on Gaskins usage in the passing game, and he hasn’t been running the ball all that good , might need to pivot turn to Pittman imo m

Fate stepped in and made the decision for me. Marquise Brown (thigh) will not play in Week 11 against the Bears.

Now I have no choice but to play both Pittman & Gaskin. 

May the trend be with me!
