Week 16 All-Out Blitz ...

Recommended Posts

Same drill as last week.

Feel free to post them here or on Twitter (@DougOrth) before 5 pm on Wednesday and I'll get to 'em. Because the article doesn't hit until Thursday, keep the questions to start/sit or FA pickups since waivers will have run in most leagues since then.

Specify PPR vs. standard and any other specifics I might need to consider.

If you post here or on Twitter, I am assuming you are OK with me using your question for the column.

Non ppr. What value would you place on C Reynolds of the Lions, I could use a little more depth at rb going into championship round.

And what I mean by value , like a rb3 or rb4.

Thank you sir.

Merry Christmas

In ppr, would you trust Rashaad Penny this week? How about Fournette?

The trust question is kind of vague. If you're trying to choose between Penny and Fournette, your decision may be easy depending on Fournette's hamstring injury.

Actually, I have quite a mess next week. I’ll need to choose two from Fournette, Penny, Saquon, Hunt, Swift, Javonte Williams.

With Jamaal Williams coming off the COVID list today, I would say Reynolds is probably in the low-end RB3 range. I could see Campbell wanting to ride the "hot hand" 😡, but Williams is going to get work if he is active.

Let's get Penny through a full game, which has been a problem for him. Also, like Mike said, Fournette is likely to miss a game or two.

6pt TD, 1/2 pt PPR.

Of the five listed, I need 2 starters - at least 1 RB and 1 other WR or RB:

  • Russel Gage vs DET
    • Dude has been rock-solid the last 5 weeks
  • AJ Brown vs SF
    • Current reports by Rappaport saying he will play in Thursday's matchup
    • Coming off injury but only WR left in TEN so he'll for sure be a focal point, but can we trust that he's a full go and won't be limited?
    • SF DEF very vulnerable to WRs
  • Jeff Wilson vs TEN
    • If Mitchel doesn't play, does Wilson become a better start?
    • TEN is #1 defense against the run.  Wilson could struggle.
  • Sony Michel vs MIN
    • Can we trust McVay to keep Michel as the primary RB?
  • Damien Harris vs BUF
    • IF he plays, will he be limited with a hamstring?  In a timeshare with Stevenson?  Or will be Belichek make him the bell-cow?

For reference, here are my other "no-brainer" RB/WR starters:

  • Dionte Johnson
  • Stefon Diggs
  • Jonathan Taylor

Full PPR, have a WR/TE spot, and a WR/RB spot,

so need 2 of Aiyuk, Mooney, Marquis Brown, Mike Williams, Jeff Wilson.

I could possibly get Carter,  Gronk,  Antonio Brown or Gage from the waiver wire tonight at midnight.

Other starters: Kyler Murray, Elliott, Mixon, Kupp.

Thanks in advance.

Get AB, Gage, Gronk and Carter (in that order) off waivers tonight. AB has low-end WR1 upside and Gage has been a low-end WR2 at worst for over a month.

Think I would lean Mooney and Brown, although I might start AB and Gage over either one if I got them off waivers.

NON-PPR Flex: Need One

Antonio Brown @ Car

Brandon Aiyuk @ Ten

Michael Pittman @ Ari

Thank You

AB  is likely your guy if you  have  a  choice.  but he will break the bank on FAAB.   a needy player  would  blow  the budget to get him.

I know I would if he was  on the wire in any of my leagues (hes not)

I like Aiyuk and Pittman.  neither is on the  wire in either of my leagues and I like their matchups.   I rank Pittman ahead of aiyuk for whatever that  is worth.

FAAB doesn't apply. The original owner dropped AB shortly after the 3 game suspension came down. I picked him up when I saw Godwin get injured.

Thanks for your input.

I won't get to this one in the article since it came in after 5 pm, but I would rank this group Brown-Pittman-Aiyuk this week. I do not expect Godwin-like production from AB, but I do expect he will see the most time in the slot of all the Bucs' WRs.

Especially in non-PPR, give me RoJo. Jackson's durability is enough to scare me, and there is also a real chance Ekeler plays (although the delay on putting him on the COVID list Wednesday was odd since it was reported on Monday).

MUTH!!!! if he is cleared of his concussion.

Eagles would be my DST choice.

Gay at PK

Not sure I would want to bench Williams right now, but I'd lean Patterson even though the Falcons have opted to use him more like a traditional running back lately 😡

This is my dynasty league, traded Alvin Kamara for Antonio Gibson and Cooper Kupp in the offseason, which of course has paid off greatly!

However it's left me with a complete mess at RB all season long, which I must say I have juggled pretty well

PPR, Big bonuses for TDs over 40 and 50 yds, 100 yd game bonus.

Which two RBs?

Cordarelle Patterson vs Detroit

JAmes Robinson vs the Jets

Antonio Gibson vs Dallas

Melvin Gordon vs the Raiders

Chuba Hubbard vs TB

Tony Pollard vs WFT

James Conner vs Indy

Thanks in advance!

@The Football Guru

Can you link to your article?

When does it get released?  Before tonight's games?

Doug's weekly artcile (All Out Blitz) is typically posted at the site late morning, early afternoon on Thursday's.

We're live now! All Out Blitz: Life Goes On

I just read the article... & what was the answer? Start Gage?
