I’m in the consolation game (because I started Murray over Burrow last week ).

My opponent today started Brown over Chase.

Can the NFL stop with that guy yet? Won't bother me if they let it go, but it's pretty bad look overall. Dude is mentally ill.

yeah, I have a good feeling this was his last stop. I think he knew going off the field that he was done with football

Hope the guy doesn't end up killing himself or anyone else down the road. Too bad he's nuts for both his sake and the NFL. That dude at one point was on a HOF trajectory.

Believing he has the ability to think more than 5 minutes into the future may be a mistake.

I bet no. You don't do what he did over the past few years and get voted into the Hall of Fame.

Dennis Rodman is in the Hall of Fame.

No comparing the two. And I think Rodman got in before he started canoodling with North Korea. Not sure though.

this reminds me of the T.O. days. But no, I think Brown walked himself out of any HoF talk. But, who knows.

CTE

That's a good point. If I remember correctly he took some head shots against Cinci and Vontae Burfict. That was when things started going south for him.

In the future, the stigma of mental illness will be erased.  A career ended by mental illness will carry no more negative connotation than a career ended by a torn Achilles.

Is it 'possible' he's just an idiot ?

it is certainly possible.  though CTE is more likely.

You're assuming that it's "mental illness." And while I'm glad we consider mental illness first without jumping on him purely for possibly being a dumbass, my comment isn't favoring either of those, I'm purely speaking of his actions on and off the field, I don't believe he's on track for the HOF.  I have no stigma regarding mental illness, I deal with it as well.

What's Brown's physician's diagnosis on the mental illness front?

Fair point. Any knowledge what he was like in college and as a youth? I wonder if money turned him into a massive diva and he just doesn't care and loves the drama queen role.

That said, I don't really care enough to look into it. He gone.

we also have to keep in mind that you can be mentally ill and also a dumbass.

the real issue here is we dont know all of the facts.

was he a dumbass from day one?

only the Steelers likely know (and maybe a few of his college teammates)

it feels like his personality changed over the course of his career, but it could also be a case where it didnt but he reached a point where he didnt care and started speaking out publicly.

sometimes to the outside observer, that makes all of the difference.

Ryan Clark had an interview several years ago in which he said he told the Pittsburgh coaching staff that once Antonio Brown gets paid, he was going to be a problem, so he was probably always crazy.
