Prolly one of my top faves in this category is Duck (or Chicken) and Andouille Sausage Gumbo. Frick, that stuff is God's Food. 

 

 

Also, given the Irish in me, I pretty much adore potato soup with leeks/green onions.  I'm pretty sure that's what comes out of Nursing Irish Mother's Nipples.

I make white chicken chili pretty consistently. Lentil soup is a good winter option, can go a lot of ways, spicy or mild, sweet with more squash, veggie or with sausage. Planning to make clam chowder this weekend.

store-bought and restaurant soups are terrible because they are loaded with salt.  same with broths.  make it yourself with nothing but real ingredients and no salt.
