Anyone learn a foreign language?

Recommended Posts

My lifetime bucket list trip is to spend a couple weeks in Italy. And I know we are probably going to do that within the next five years. I have the time so I thought let’s learn Italian. So I was doing Duolingo for about five months so I know how to say a lot of words but I don’t know how to put them all together if that makes sense?

Anyone try something different that can put sentences together a little more fluently? Just see if anyone had any recommendations. Thanks

È difficile imparare una nuova lingua da adulto. Ma la cosa bella dell'Europa è che quasi tutti parlano inglese.

Italian is mostly just putting -a and -o at the end of English words.  And if they don't seem to understand, just talk louder.

Well this went about the way I expected. I’m not having problems learning the words it’s just forming the sentences.

I can has cheeseburger is very apt in this case as an example

I decided to just learn to speak with a foreign accent. That way, people will assume I speak both languages and will be impressed with how well I speak English. :dunno:

Honestly, combo of books and cds.

the books will give structure and syntax.  The tapes/cds/YouTube videos will give you more fluidity
