No brainer for the brownies at a nice price. Likely the end of Jarvis Landry in Cleveland…

So basically a 5th round pick?  Really?  They couldn't get better?  That's surprising.

I think they're just happy dumping his salary

Always injured and costs too much.

That said, I wish the Pats had taken a run at that price.

I think the issue is that this guy for the most part of his career has underachieved.   he caught lightning in a bottle when he came to a good situation in Dallas.

he underachieved again last year and he makes a whole lot of money.

to be frank its mostly about the money and what he delivers relative to that salary.    The reality is I dont think there were a whole lot of buyers.

Cleveland was perfect as they needed a WR to replace Beckham Jr.  and at the price, they were willing to take the plunge.   it is certainly possible that they could have been one of the only teams interested in him who had both the cap space and the right situation.

I am pretty sure Dallas just wanted the salary off the books and didnt care how it happened.   If Dallas had retained some of the salary, I"m sure that price would have been higher.   But the key for them was not having that salary obligation to deal with.

If they can just utilize Cooper as well as they did OBJ, they should stay in 3rd-4th place in the conference for the forseeable future, depending on whether or not the Steelers REALLY go with Dwayne Haskins at QB.

You know who could make good use of Landry?  Patrick Mahomes.

Kelce and Landry underneath, Hill and Hardman over the top.

Money.

It’s not irrelevant, it’s a good move

Cooper 2015, 108 games , 517 rec, 7076 yards, 13.7 avg, 46 tds.

Landry 2014, 123 games, 688, 7598, 11.0, 38 tds.

Better I don’t see it.  Different type of wr yes. Landry might be the better ff draft pick based on where he ends up, but the better overall player mmm I don’t think so.

Yeah I can agree with that, plus I think he’s not the same type of player.

But again based on who picks up Landry he’ll probably be the better ff player next season. Maybe.

Maybe the Bucs with the return of the Goat.

Landry is better. Cooper on DND list now

Landry is a glorified JAG

Not that I’m a Cooper fan, by any means

Until the Browns get a decent QB, this move is irrelevant.

Watson to the Browns.  Now it’s relevant.  I guess the Browns knew what I knew...

Well, the Browns certainly knew enough not to give a slot receiver 72 million dollars...
