I guess it's time since college bball is wrapping up.   It's happening, Bobby Witt Jr made the MLB opening day roster

I'm guessing the orioles won't be very good.

Also, what happened with international signings? Will there be a draft? Much of the royals success in the last decade has been a result of success with international signings.

My draft starts at 1.  He is the top priority.  I’ll spend up.

Padres add Manaea, and I am trying to figure out why?

hes a good get, but it worries me cause it likely means Clevinger isn't coming along, or that Gore might be traded

with Darvish-Musgrove-Clevinger-Snell-Martinez-Paddack-Gore-Weathers, it seemed like we had depth

Most teams suffer lots of injuries every year.  The Dodgers injury list was ridiculous last year and they still won 106 games.

Hockey is awesome...  I watch that over the NFL and NBA...

Hell with all of the stupid rule changes that is happening to MLB, the NHL will probably move to #1 on my list...

He's starting the year at third and will give you dual eligibility as well

Yeah. We have Ramirez at third. Would rather he play short but it’s fine, use him at the CI spot.  Paying so much means he most Likely won’t be a keeper next year. I was hoping mid thirties.

I just meant that dual eligibility is an added plus.   You definitely want to get that anticipated production at the SS position if possible.  The royals could potentiality have 3 of the top 10 or 15 SS in fantasy this year with Mondesi, Witt and Lopez.   Probably won't pan out that way but our IF looks really promising.

you know how boxing assigns titles by weight class?  maybe baseball could assign titles by payroll.  the pirates, indians and orioles could compete for the featherweight title.

Yes, but that dollar would be more useful as toilet paper or to light a cigar.

Pirates just signed Ke'Bryan Hayes to an 8-year extension for $70M.  If he pans out to be what we expect, that'll be a huge bargain.  If he doesn't, someone will take him and the Pirates will get nothing in return for the salary dump.  Odds are though, he'll more than earn that money.

First inning, Hayes leaves the game with an injury.

Are the Mets still paying Bobby Bonilla?  I think that may have ended but can't remember; I'll google it.

edit:  Bonilla last played for the Mets in 1999 and last played in the majors for the Cardinals in 2001, but he will be paid through 2035 (when he'll be 72).

Royals are 2-0 because of Bobby Witt Jr;, he made the key play in both games.

This offense will be fine.   And if pratto ends up at first this season, we'll have good glove caliber players at all 5 infield positions.

The key is going to be pitching.   I really like the value I perceive greinke could be too these young arms with a ton of potential.   The outlook for the royals future is very bright
