Musk is nothing new.  Neither, of course, is concern about concentration of control of large swaths of the media.

Musk is definitely a good businessman.  Trying to get people to turn on Apple because of “free speech” because he doesn’t want to pay App Store fees.

This line of Honcho's article was sooo important to him that he went out of his way to bold it. He wanted to make sure none of us missed the quote. I even double checked the article to make sure the text wasn't copied as bolded already, sure enough, not bolded in the article. So please understand how important this was to Honcho...

I feel like it's my duty to let everyone know, the app is still up, I am able to open Twitter. It appears that the lights are still on. I'll report back in a few days, stay tuned.

Reality has been sooo confused by why I bolded this one particular sentence, I went back and quoted all of the relevant posts leading up to me using bold.  Then I went back and bolded the individual sections of THOSE quotes so as to make it even easier for him to understand why I emphasized that one quote. Then in the simplest way possible I explained the entire thing one more time.

I feel like it's my duty to let everyone know that reality is still stupid, I am unable to explain context to him. It appears that that the lights are on, but nobody is home.  I won't report back anymore on this because it's already wasted enough of my time.

Be careful. He will come in here and say a bunch of words accusing you of being angry, or picking fights, or some such stuff.....blissfully unaware he continues to take shots in here which is the thing he likes to jump on others about.

Hey bud, I'm providing you a service. You were so passionate about the original CNN article that you bolded the one statement you wanted all of us to see. I understand that I've embarrassed you and you're attempting to save face by lashing out at me. That's all fine and dandy, no ill will.

Also, I'm here to let you know the lights are still on.

Democrats, liberals is general, have figured out that social media is an effective way to further their ideology.  This move is a threat to that monopoly, and any threat to liberal power cannot be tolerated.

They will sacrifice any of their faux beliefs to fend off threats to their power, mainly because they do not actually believe in anything.  Their "virtue" is just peacocking for others.

That is why logic applied to their positions never seems to work, because in reality power is their only true and firmly held "belief" and the pretend positions are easily sacrificed where power is threatened.

I'm smart, you're dumb. The modern day conversation with a liberal.

Once again, I wish I was as proud of my BCS as liberals are of their BGS.

Yup, the intolerance of the self proclaimed tolerant. Silence the opposition when you are unable to defend your ideology, hard to blame them, there is no defense.

You don't believe Apple would pull twitter from the app store?

You mean how Mike has explained multiple times why he posted that particular article, which didn’t even say that that “former executive” thought it would happen within the week, and yet you keep repeating the same irrelevant point?

But sure, keep trying to play the good guy.

He already pointed out he's dumb and other people are smart.

Let him have this one.

I have no idea, but if that happens it’s not “suppressing free speech” since you don’t need the app to read twitter.

I think we differ on the definition of "suppressing"

I could absolutely see apple pull the twitter app if it violates their terms of service, they've done it before.

by violating their terms of service.  What new policy now violates them that didn't in the past?  Was it the pedophilia they were ok with, but free speech is against the TOS?

Part of the problem is the designation "hate speech".  Right now the left owns the definition and therefore is able to assign it without restraint or verification.  And therefore anything that might refute what they say,  make fun of them, or encourage things they do not like is "hate".

This is how Russia behaved to control opposition as well. It's a method that has mostly withstood the test of time.

Not to me it isn't.  But imagine you are in your 20's or 30's, and you have been coddled all your life, with few real hard lessons or challenges.....and someone says they hate you.....you do not have the life skills to handle such a statement.  This is our reality, we should acknowledge this.

the thing is, saying I hate you probably isn't considered hate speech

however saying a man isnt a woman is

So Apple kicking Twitter off their platform is ok, but restricting books with graphic sexual content in libraries isn’t. Got it.

Enough with the pedo crap already you sick fock.

The new policy is that if you pay $8/mo you can get certified as anyone you want, and this is not moderated, this leads to misinformation.  Apple's TOS states these apps need to be moderated and twitter is trending towards a very laxed moderation.  Twitter has always had free speech except for hate speech and misinformation.

Old Twitter banned people for insinuating that Covid was probably a lab leak.  It was MISINFORMATION they said.  You shall be silenced!

It was a liberal propaganda machine and the powerful people who used it are now freaking out.  It’s as clear as the sky is blue.

Wait, Twitter did have kiddie porn before. Why can’t that be spoken about? But we can bring up the Catholic Church again and again. I say both are fair game. Our resident pedo apologist, Gutterboy, doesn’t.  Weird.

It’s like debating a religious fanatic. But with them, after you point out the contradictions and impossibilities, they are least say they have faith. Not the indoctrinated left. Show them their contradictions they either move on or lash out.  But just as with religious fanatics, they are relying on faith.

Not according to the new owner, who is going to publish information about how free speech was suppressed.

Yeah, in your simpleton mind a celebrity telling people who to vote for is election interference.  Do you hit yourself in the head with a hammer every morning or something?
