I never said that.  But how much have they lost in market capital since their peak? Why don’t you tout that number?

Here’s a fact: The stock was worth 200 two years ago. It’s less than half that now. But let’s go back 10 years.   Desantis!

You blame the stock price for the fact that they decided not to move their HQ to Florida?  To save a billion dollars?  But they are still spending 17B on the parks over 10 years?

Tardcore logic.

What specifically in the data that was presented do you disagree with?

Try to do it without saying "200 two years ago" and "DeSantis"

Why did they want to move to FLA in the first place? You and Mooney can’t seem to answer that.

Just dropped 41 shows from streaming in cost cutting measures.

Lots of streaming services ahve done this in the past year. WBD, AMC, and Showtime most notably. It is basically a way to try and cull away stuff people are not watching or feature shows that more closely align with what people are watching.

No...I know. But it isn't germane to the discussion. It is you stupidly tilting windmills to try and get a win out of a discussion you are so over your head in.

I discussed this earlier. I’m betting (though I don’t know for sure) that they wanted to move because lower taxes and less regulation. This is why many companies move from blue states like California to red states like Texas and Florida, and it’s been a powerful argument:

Now however they’re not moving and DeSantis’ hostility to Disney has apparently played a big role. And the larger lesson is this: as the conservative movement in this country moves away from its economic principles and focuses primarily on cultural issues it’s going to suffer.

Iger is a libtard.  He’s drumming up all these problems with Desantis because DeSantis is the bigger threat. Also, Iger isn’t doing a very good job since his return. Piss poor actually. Cutting costs to appease shareholders isn’t going to last forever.

To be clear, here, Iger was the one who started the Disney woke BS in the first place years before he left the first time.  He started the fiscal irresponsibility that Disney is now currently in because of their liberal agenda.  Chapek was simply the fall guy.

Anyone expecting Iger as the savior to clean up Disney's SJW stances and woke BS is going to be seriously disappointed.

His job right now is to go after Desantis on behalf of Biden and the elitists. A smart CEO with his mind on his money and his money on his mind would have came in and played nice. But he has an agenda.

NYT leftist activist calls Disney PR leftist activist -

“Hey, even though you are hemorrhaging billions of dollars quarterly, laying off thousands and cancelling countless other projects, oh and the group you wanted to move didn’t want to go. Also, you plan to invest 17 billion dollars over the next 10 years in Florida, we’re gonna run a hit piece on Desantis and claim he was a catalyst for this decision OK? Of course!”

Yes progressives started the culture battles (they’re not exactly wars) because they are important to fight. And we’re on the right side of them, the winning side. And you need to understand that our victory is inevitable. Just like all of the culture wars in the past: civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, it doesn’t matter what you name- we always win in the end after some struggle.

Conservatives always seem to be on the wrong side of these struggles. But they’re often on the right side of economic issues. My advice is stick to those.

Disney only paid $73M in state taxes last year, not billions you oaf.  They deemed the savings not with it as long as desantis keeps acting like a toddler.

I hate to break the bad news to you, but your side was not on the rights of civil rights. Your side actually fought a war to KEEP slavery, started the KKK, implemented Jim Crow and pushed against the civil rights act.

Where do you get your misinformation and revisionist history?

Aside from that, stop getting on butt hurt when conservatives take on the wars you start.

Yup. When he does something about the product let me know. I eagerly await Iron Them/ They 16. And if you think these cuts are not to appease investors that have taken a bath then you need to question that minor in finance you have.

You’re confusing the Democratic Party with liberalism. At the time of the Civil War and through most of the Jim Crow years. The Democratic Party was the conservative party. The change of Democrats to liberals only began in 1933 and was only completed by 1968. What I wrote is true: liberals and progressives, whether Democrat or Republican, have always been on the right side of these issues. Conservatives, whether Democrat or Republican, have always been on the wrong side. The misinformation and revisionist history is yours, not mine.

Norman Mattoon Thomas (November 20, 1884 - December 19, 1968) was a leading American socialist, pacifist, and six-time presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America. Norman Thomas said this in a 1944 speech: "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." He went on to say: "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform."

This is entirely false.  Democrats continued to dominate Senate, House, and Gubernatorial elections in the south for decades. Alabama did not elect a GOP governor until 1986. Mississippi? 1991. Georgia? 2002.

Sure thing Mooney.  Disney was going to get a significant windfall by moving to Florida. Now they aren’t. It’s all good. I want to let you in on something:   Saving 100 dollars is better than making 100 dollars. See if you can figure out why.

Never mind that floridas corporate tax rate is 5.5 and Californias is nearly 9 pct.  Bank on this: Disney will be moving to Florida after the next election.
