Utilit99 4,099 Posted May 11, 2022 Heard on NFL radio that Pittsburgh will only have to travel a total of only 6400 miles this season. Fewest of all teams. As opposed to Seattle needing to travel 30,000+ miles in the coming season. And what's really crazy, is Pitt will play every one of their games in the eastern time zone this season. Talk about an advantage. Official schedule comes out tomorrow I guess
jrokh 568 Posted May 11, 2022 Yeah heard that a while ago. Won’t help them much in the AFC when just about every opponent has the advantage at QB..

polecatt 401 Posted May 11, 2022 Is it really a huge deal in the NFL since they just play one game a week? I know a lot of the players are pampered but they're just flying within the USA, it's not that far.
Showboat 144 Posted May 15, 2022 Mostly a function of all the cities in the AFC north being pretty close together. Pittsburgh to Cincinnati is probably the longest divisional travel distance and way shorter than say Seattle to San Francisco which is probably the shortest division travel distance for the Seahawks. I mean, that's a good head start, but with a home-and-away series against divisional opponents every year, the total travel miles for those six games as a whole is a constant from year to year (barring a franchise moving or re-aligning or something)--for EVERY team in every division. What really fuels the anomaly for PIT this year is that all their games against teams from other time zones are home games.
