Voltaire 4,554 Posted June 24, 2022 It's very trans-friendly since everybody wants to be the queer. Too bad none of them are very good at it.

Gladiators 1,903 Posted June 24, 2022 Yep, I’ve done my fair share of queer smearing
GobbleDog 815 Posted June 24, 2022 Interesting. I thought only kids in my region called the game that. Had no idea "smear the queer" was national. God bless the 70's.
frank 2,144 Posted June 24, 2022 We called it kill the man with the ball. One guy has the ball and runs for his life. Everyone chases him. He gets tackled or wusses out and throws the ball up in the air. Our version of dodgeball - everyone stands in a group except two people on opposite sides. One of them throws the ball and tries to hit anyone in the middle. No catching it, if it touches you, you are now a thrower. It continues like that until the last person in the middle is the winner. I didn’t know there was another version until much later.

Drizzay 644 Posted June 25, 2022 Yup, that is what we played. Fumble the football around, then whoever picks it up has to make it through everyone else.

Beaker15 111 Posted June 25, 2022 Yep, I remember on Thanksgiving dinner we had when I was around 10 years old and my Grandparents were visiting. As we were finishing up eating someone asked what we should do. I jokingly said how about a nice game of smear the queer in the backyard? My brother started laughing but my Grandparents had a look of horror. I found out later from my Mom that Grandma thought I was gay after that!
