taco breath 419 Posted July 17, 2022 Quote At least six people are dead in Montana after a wind storm caused 21 vehicles to crash together on the highway Friday evening, authorities said. Among the dead were two children, The Associated Press reported. The storms' heavy winds and zero visibility are believed to have contributed to the crash, officials said. https://www.foxnews.com/us/dead-montana-massive-car-pileup-mass-casualty-crash
MTSkiBum 1,594 Posted July 17, 2022 I drove that stretch quite a bit. That is crazy.
easilyscan 558 Posted July 17, 2022 The wind storm played a part, but it didn't 'cause 21 vehicles to crash together on the highway' If you look at the picture of the van impregnated into the back of a semi trailer, it's obvious someone was driving way too fast in a low visibility environment. Rest In Peace.

edjr 5,564 Posted July 18, 2022 Any need to use the word massive? if you say 21 car pile up, what would we think, minor? I hate when people are redundant

I hate when people are redundant There's a bridge in Louisiana that's 12 miles long that stretches from a town called Laplace to a town outside of New Orleans called Metairie. Every now and then it gets extremely foggy. Like can't see 10 feet in front of you foggy, and, man, you want to talk about massive pile ups. They would have a 20 car pileup on the east bound bridge and people would slow down and try to look on the west bound bridge and cause another 20 car pileup. After the one in say 1988 or whatever they reduced the speed limit from 70 to 55 and about 10 years later they raised it back up. Wouldn't you know it, but a couple for years later, they raised the speed limit again and the same damn thing happened.
