Quarterback Rankings

Fair.  I disagree, but it's reasonable.

I think Chark and Kirk are the same guy, one just got fed up with playing with crappy QB's while the other was able to play opposite great WR's and had a good QB.  Marvin Jones is exactly who he is.  I'd expect the same numbers from him regardless of what team he's on or what QB is throwing to him.  Outside of that, I think the Jags cupboard is very bare.  Zay Jones is garbage.  Engram is garbage.  Tim Jones spent last year on the practice squad.  Agnew is a return guy.  So, 5 WR's on their roster and only 2 are even "decent".  That's very bare to me.

I think Lawrence is a bust and I'd be shocked if he even finished in the top 20 in fantasy.  I think this year may be similar to last year.  The TD/Int numbers may be closer... I'll say 15 TD's/14 Int's... so a slight improvement.  If he's a starter in the NFL past 2023, that teams' GM should be fired.

I was very unimpressed with Pederson post 2017.  His team was poorly coached, poorly managed, and his game day coaching was sub par.

Want to make a "gentleman's bet" on it? Just a simple admission to the other that they were wrong at the end of the season?

You say surprised if he finishes top 20, I said maybe top 8....split the difference at 14?...obvious caveats that bet is off if he misses significant amount of time to injury.

Sure.  I'm in.  14 and over you win, 15 and under I win.  If he plays at least 10 games, I'm ok with using his average.

2021- Jones Jr, Chark, Shenault, Tavon Austin, Jamal Agnew

2022- Kirk, Jones Jr, Zay Jones, Tim Jones, Jamal Agnew

Kirk is much better than where Chark was anymore. Zay Jones is a better version of Tavon Austin. Jones/Agnew is a wash against Shenault/Agnew.

So they are better.

Not sold that Kirk is better then Chark, but I guess if he plays more then three games he would be.

THe biggest issue with Kirk is going to be he is probably a #2 receiver being paid like a #1. He is also primarily a slot guy to this point and if they are going to ask him to play outside I'm not 100% how that will work. But Chark had 1 monster season but overall Kirk's numbers are better

Chark career- 43 games (40 starting) 265 targets, 147 receptions, 2042 yards and 15 touchdowns

Kirk career- 56 games (41 starting), 358 targets, 236 receptions, 2902 yards, and 17 touchdowns

Kirk had an a better Qb situation, plus he wasn’t used as a wr1, Chark always has had injuries where he missed a lot of games , or nagging injuries that disrupted his performance, I think Chark is the better player.  Jags are simply trying to make Kirk who’s a wr3 into a one, m Jones might still be the better ff producer.

The biggest change for Tlaw is that he now appears to have a competent coaching staff going into year 2. He's mobile which is always a good start,  it's just a matter if they can move the ball consistently.  Top 5 might be a stretch, but I'll buy into the idea that this will be the year he becomes relevant for fantasy.

I haven't dug into their route tree's but Kirk is 5'11 and Chark is 6'4, something tells me they're going to be used differently. That debate seems moot to me.

If it's still for an apology, it's still a poosie bet.

This is the NFL.  They'll shoot that thing full of cortisone so he doesn't even feel it.

That would solve a ton of things. Even if people are leery of money being exchanged make it the FF Forum Championship league. Let Axe Elf and weepaws put their more goofy takes to the test.

I said Kirk is a #2 being paid as a #1...that is a function of free agency. He is still better than Chark- injuries can't be just hand waved away either.

I’ve made this known on here over the past 30 years that I’ve been posting on here, I only do live drafts, sorry.

Lets do a live draft 300.00 buy in its game.

No Kirk is not a wr2, he’s a wr3 being paid as a wr1, like I said if he plays in more than three games he’s already better than Chark.

But no question Chark is the more talented player.  So we do agree.

No we don't because I don't think Chark is more talented. And I don't think Chark is necessarily a #2 right now. He has to prove that back again.

I can see it now; the advanced posters wanting an auction draft with several flex positions and no K or D to demonstrate their knowledge beyond the top 100 players, and then the guys who barely know what they're doing wanting a vanilla 9-starter lineup and a snake draft to "make it more fair."

It would never get off the ground.

Live draft is fine & I'm fine with the $300 but don't think everybody else would be let's make it $100

What's wrong with a chicane draft 🤔

I like how AxeElf thinks people don't know anyone outside of the top 100 players....as if even the rubiest of rubes couldn't find this stuff online if they really wanted to.

He is the dude walking to the poker table thinking he will clean up because "he has a strategy" which ignores that so does everyone else.

I think by live draft, he might mean in-person draft.

It would actually explain a lot if that's the case.

Axe Elf is also the poker player who has to pay taxes on the 1099 he receives from the casino each year.

It's not having a strategy that is key; it's having a better strategy than your opponents.

Exactly....sometimes I think online drafts are harder because you can't get a feel for what people are doing and it is more likely people stick to the stock ADP as opposed to panicking and jumping on guys.

By having a strategy do you mean "using pre-season stats as a rationale"?

I'd suggest you find a new casino if they are giving you a W-2G on poker winnings... if that's what you mean.  I'm not sure why they would have you fill out a 1099 unless it's just jackpots and giveaways.

If it gives me an edge over dolts like you, absolutely.

Fortunately, though, I'm Axe Elf, and the edge I enjoy over dolts is already insurmountable.

It would make sense why he thinks he's so good at FF if he's been playing with the same mopes that aren't even savvy enough to use a computer for the last 20 years .

Those are included; also sponsored tournament winnings.  They don't track winnings in cash games.  I don't have to fill anything out; they just send me the 1099 in January.

Exactly, I like to get into the flow of the draft, like playing poker, I only play in person, I don’t like to play on a computer.

No no, not true , I’m in four leagues this season, one I’ve been in since the late 80es, only three of us have been in this league longer than three seasons now,  the other three I’ll be traveling to take part in, I’m in Oregon for two of them today, never been in them before.  The other is in Auburn California 12 team ppr, last year was my first in the league.  Now you know.

one is a 14 team non ppr, two are a 14 team Ppr. My other league that I’ve been in since the late 80es half ppr 12 team.

Never not once have I ever said I was good at ff, I’m not here to teach, I’m here to learn .

Thanks

I think you need to apologize to the whole board.  We should have some sort of certification process like the check mark for twitter.
