Anybody defending DeSantis or Abbott here… you don’t have a leg to stand on. There are systems and programs in place for transporting migrants already. If that was truly the goal here, they would have worked within those systems, or, at the very least, coordinated with leaders at the final destination points. Instead, you’ve got political stunts using humans as props. Lost in this discussion is that NY, CA, and IL already have just as many, if not more, immigrants living there than Texas or Florida. So this isn’t balancing anything. If balancing things was the goal, send them to Iowa, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and other states with comparatively low numbers of immigrants.

On the bright side, this makes DeSantis and Abbott look petty, and we are seeing the “evil liberals” actually doing a lot to help out the migrants. Only the farthest right faithful are getting a charge out of this, and they always vote “red” anyway, so it seems to me DeSantis are angling for the 2024 primaries with this insanity.

you need 2/3rds majority in the senate to convict.  so they cant jail Biden.  Best that they can do is impeach.  you only need a majority in the House to impeach.

Yes, the "using people as political pawns" part of it makes me a little queasy on the consistency and ethical part of this.    But when the flip side is that the libs turn a blind eye towards millions of illegals flooding southern states - sometimes you have to do what you must.    And it's not like RD sent them to a war zone to die (like we did with my Irish ancestors and the civil war).   They were never in any danger.

I spent most of the day yesterday within a mile or less of Martha's Vineyard.   I caught bluefish, false albacore, tautoug, and sea bass.     I didn't catch any illegals.     I must have been using the wrong lures and bait.   Although I have also heard they are very leader-shy, so maybe I gotta try a different weight of line for my leaders. . .  

I had heard that all of the rich people were throwing them off of the island yesterday so I figured the waters would be teeming with them.
