Thoughts on Mahomes so far....

Patrick Mahomes is still the #1 QB in fantasy football, and #1 QB in real NFL football.

yep.

and I honestly figured tyreek couldnt be replaced.

that said, that element isnt really in the offense, but its been replaced by a committee of good WR and Mahomes was fully able to take advantage of their skillset.

I figured he would but usually there is some time needed for the QB to get on the same page as the WR. (usually half season or so) but they clicked almost from day one.

season is not over yet.   but going into the season I figured hed be somewhere between the #3 and #5 QB for fantasy at end of year.

right now hes number one, and he may stay there or he may get overtaken by Josh Allen.

I also figured Herbert would be in the mix, but his injury and other injuries on the offense have rendered him average.  I also figured Burrow might be in the mix too but hes been a half step below what I expected.

either way I wasnt one of the guys who said hed be a bum.  I just didnt think he would be elite (which for me is top 3)   unlike some here I can admit I was wrong.   as of now, unless something profound happens (ie injury or team goes in the tank) Mahomes should finish top 3.   I'll admit that now.

Your prediction was fair and not bad at all.  Mahomes gets all the credit, he just overcame the loss of T Hill with what he was given for WRs.

After 3 weeks, his passing yards is ranked 8th at 857 yards.    The big plays are missing in this offense.  Only 2 40+ yarders.  Avg yards per completion is below the 8.  The years where he was a top 3 QB, he avg above 8+ per completion.  Still early but all signs are pointing to a 5-10 ranking finish.

The Top 3 in my league. The bolded are the averages. Since you are slow, I will help you out. 28.64 is a bigger number than 28.54. Welcome....

Living free in your head bro, keep responding to me, and I keep winning.

Lol you don’t have to be here discussing the OP thoughts.

Kc fans get very protective of Mahomes.

Ps they won’t win another Super Bowl with him at Qb.

Thanks.

And if they do this year is because they gave it to Mahomes

This is what many thought would be a rebuilding year for the Chiefs.   Lost ward and traded away Tyreek.   Building for the future and many thought this team would regress.   Yet they are on the verge of 14 wins, the no. 1 overall seed and favorite to win the super bowl.   I'd say Mahomes is pretty ok.

Bless you.  With out question, he wasn’t even drafted on any ff league, he wasn’t even picked up by most until week 3-4.

And he’s in the top half of scoring a the Qb slot.

Geno is easily the ff mvp.

I guess I'm taking more about real football and team wins than fantasy.  Not trying to be rude.  Sorry.

The Mahomes Valuable Player (MVP) Award will henceforth be awarded to the NFL player who is not just most-valuable to their team, but Mahomes-valuable to their team.

you guys.... both are considered to be the greatest QBs of their generation and both have been champions.   can that not be good enough?

do we have to compare records under a microscope?

in many respects each QB has changed the way the game was played in their own way and that is the sign of a great QB.

Let it go.   there are far better things to argue over than the likes of this.

There is arguing going on in the mock draft tread.

Well, let's not get ahead of ourselves.  Mahomes is certainly on the way, but let's see if he can win another 5+ Super Bowls before starting the Brady comparisons.  Before all is said and done, Allen, Burrow or maybe even someone like Lawrence or Purdy may be considered the best QB of this generation and Mahomes may end up falling into that Rodgers/Manning/Roethlisberger category.
