I think the point of these articles is to get clicks and create fear.  No smart person thinks their kid is gonna get fentanyl while trick or treating.

Kids don't go to a gazillion different houses anymore. They either trick or treat in on their block or small neighborhood where everone knows each other, or they do like trunk or treats in church parking lots where everyone lnows each other. I live in a highly populated area and never see kids going door to door  other than what I men just mentioned. Not for years.

Other than the border being allowed to stay open I think the more wide spread issue is there is  fentanyl crisis. And the DEA is pointing it out all the time. The border open is a political crisis. The fentanyl is a social crisis.

It's just that many people don't care about it.
