Diggin' deep, for FLEX in Week 5..

Recommended Posts

Full-point PPR.  RB1 is S. Barkley.  RB2 is D. Henry.  WR1 is T. McLaurin.  WR2 is C.Davis.  TE1 is Z. Ertz.   Currently FLEXing LVR WR3 M. Hollins.  Thing is - Hunter Renfrow might be over his concussion, as he practiced Wednesday.  I also have JAX WR2 Z. Jones (INj ankle) JAX TE E. Engram rostered, and NYG (R) WR W. Robinson (INJ knee).

Slim pickings in the FA pool: 1) CIN WR3 T. Boyd, in a likely shoot out with BAL.  BUT - he's been mediocre past three BAL away games: 4/39; 4/42 and 3/10.  2) NO TE1 J. Johnson - he had a blow-up 2 TD game to start FY 2021, and SEA is the worst at defending TEs so far in FY 2022.

Lots of if guys play. I think you got it right. I think it will be a Chase and Higgins game so I wouldn’t touch Boyd. Zay Jones might have to line up against Stingley so pass. Don’t like TE as flex. Don’t trust any Giants WR right now.. I don’t know what their coach is doing outing JAGS out there over talent.

Some other options, as free agents:

CIN RB3 S. Perine: 3rd-down RB, and also I think 2-minute drill RB; could get lucky.

ATL WR2 O. Zaccheaus: TE K. Pitts is OUT; ATL should be throwing the entire second half to catch up.

CIN TE1 H. Hurst: "revenge game" vs. BAL; also, expected to be a shoot-out.

Any more thoughts?

Renfrow is on track to play. Zay Jones still questionable.

I personally would trust Boyd more (all in ‘meh’ category though) in a potential shootout with BAL over Hollins or Jones this week.

Update: changed my 3rd WR / FLEX to Zay Jones, from M. Hollins.  He is playing, and HOU is down one of their pass rushers.

Side note: a buddy of mine suggested TB TE2 Otton, as well.
