Ertz Done For The Year, Eno Benjamin Released

Recommended Posts

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Cardinals TE Zach Ertz (knee) is out for the season.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said earlier in the day that the team will hope to know more on Wednesday, but sources confirmed with Rapoport that Ertz is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Rookie tight end Trey McBride is likely to get the first crack as the team's starting tight end with Ertz sidelined, after playing on a season-high 62 snaps in Week 10's loss to the Rams. Ertz finishes his season with a receiving line of 47-406-4 on 69 targets.

Keaontay Ingram the back up to Conner now? Man alive…do the Cardinals have any other RB’s besides these 2?

Can’t wait to find out, heck I started him in flex on two different teams this season.

Never ever heard anything about any issues.

Eno on the team anymore?

Texans claimed RB Eno Benjamin off waivers from Arizona.

In theory, this is a terrific landing spot for Benjamin. Rex Burkhead has averaged 5.9 yards per reception this season, and Benjamin has shown much more explosion than the veteran back. In actuality, the Texans have clung to Burkhead so hard that we're not entirely sure they'll let Benjamin fight for a real role in the near future. Still, it's a solid move by Nick Caserio after the Cardinals mystifyingly let Benjamin walk yesterday.
