browndelivers 7 Posted November 24, 2022 Dude in my standard scoring league dropped Samuel. Anyone have any idea what's going on? He hasn't been great the past few months but he isn't a disaster. Want to make sure I'm not missing something before picking him up off waivers.

Samuel is WR30 in avg fantasy points per game in standard scoring, and WR35 since Week 6; he probly just had 4 better WRs.
weepaws 2,062 Posted November 24, 2022 9 rec the last four games is why the other owner had better options, plus their Qb stinks. OP who would you drop for him?
easilyscan 468 Posted November 24, 2022 Agree with the other 2 responders. I drafted him as a bye week replacement. He started out hot. Week 1: 8-55 -1 Week 2: 7-78-1 Been downhill ever since. I've heard some 'experts' say he'll do better when Carson Wentz comes back, but I think the Commanders are committed to Taylor Heinicke now. Don't think you're missing anything by leaving him on the WW.
Bills04 44 Posted November 24, 2022 Since Heinicke took over, he "only has eyes for McLaurin." Only pick Samuel up if you have a player who is definitely worse.
polecatt 343 Posted November 24, 2022 You have to figure the 2nd WR for the Commanders has a limited upside
rowdystylz1 3 Posted November 24, 2022 I drafted him in both my money leagues (.5pt and full ppr). Hes no longer on either team after i dropped him for T. Burks this week. I am not interested in his weekly numbers or upside. Good gadget player and a decent bye week filler but i didnt see much potential. 9-2 both leagues
IGotWorms 2,632 Posted November 25, 2022 Yup, no good w/ Heinicke

If you’re looking for a safe play he is a decent option but low upside sadly. I’m keeping him in my 1/2 PPR over Toney just because my WRs are shakey and may need a reliable, albeit not-so-exciting option. Washington’s schedule looks favorable for WRs but Samuel is a unique player so it’s hard to be sure where he will do well.
