7:11 p.m.: Channelview ISD announced Monday night that it would cancel Tuesday classes because of the boil water notice. It is the second area school district to announce cancellations, after Houston ISD.

Channelview ISD was open on Monday. The district in a message to families and staff said it was basing its closure on a boil water notice from Harris County Water Control and Improvement District #84.

"This boil water notice affects multiple schools within our school district," the district said. "Therefore, we will not have school tomorrow, Tuesday, November 29."

Shortly after Channelview's notice, Aldine ISD also announced it would be closed Tuesday.

"This decision was made after much discussion and careful consideration between district leaders as well as information provided by city officials," Aldine ISD said. "We believe this will allow us adequate time to ensure our schools are prepared to welcome back students and staff to a safe environment once the city has lifted the water boil notice."

Watching Ukraine right now.  Winter is coming.  So many geniuses here speaking of Russia losing etc etc.

That part will be interesting to watch in future.

I think Russia could landlock Ukraine.  I think that is their goal.  BUT, let us see how smart everyone else here was, in time.

Back to the OP and sorry to derail.  Houston is gross.  They don't have water now?  I can't imagine.  They were gross before losing water.

Hmm.  I doubt it.

I hope you don't get monkeypox by not boiling your water though.

It's freaking houston. Guaranteed at least a hundred of them will end up in the emergency room after attempting to deep fry their water.
