To go along with defeating Covid, more jobs than at any time in the last 6 years, successfully beating back inflation caused largely by the spending of the prior administration, unifying and expanding NATO to stand against Russia, much much needed infrastructure investment, best mid-term showing for the incumbent party in decades, plus many more, the CHIPS and Science Act will unlock hundreds of billions more in private sector semiconductor investment across the country, including production essential to national defense and critical sectors. 

For someone who conservatives claim doesn't know where he is, he's been an absolute unit his first two years.

I don't understand why people are so excited about a Taiwanese company manufacturing chips in the US.  It's like the Chinese cheering on Amazon opening another shipment center in China instead of Alibaba. RINOs gonna RINO.

Honestly, no matter who was in charge, once COVID was more under control the re-hiring of all the jobs lost during the initial pandemic when everything was closed down would have recovered...

Inflation might be trending down, but it took off with Biden in office...  You can't create your own save opportunity...

I live in AZ and worked in that industry most of my career.  I complimented this act in @MTSkiBum's thread.

But so you know, this plant was in the works long before the act passed.  Biden had zero to do with it.

Because TSMC is the only company in the world who can make the most advanced chip capability available to designers.  Intel has similar process capability but it is highly customized to their designs and unusable outside of Intel. 

It is extremely difficult to do the accessibility part (CAD basically, which was my industry).  This is the new battlefront with China; we are preventing advanced tools from going there.

We can't let TSMC sit on China's doorstep.  If China were to attempt to take TSMC over, at the risk of sounding Justin, we might nuke them.  It is that important.
