Raven Fan 362 Posted December 6, 2022 To go along with defeating Covid, more jobs than at any time in the last 6 years, successfully beating back inflation caused largely by the spending of the prior administration, unifying and expanding NATO to stand against Russia, much much needed infrastructure investment, best mid-term showing for the incumbent party in decades, plus many more, the CHIPS and Science Act will unlock hundreds of billions more in private sector semiconductor investment across the country, including production essential to national defense and critical sectors. For someone who conservatives claim doesn't know where he is, he's been an absolute unit his first two years. Infrastructure bill - A failure. Ruined the economy and nothing to see for it. Stock market gains - More jobs than at any time in history - Due to him closing down the country previously and then keeping people the government dime. HUGE wage increases - Inflation trending down - Still way up. Rallied and expanded NATO - Focking disaster feeding NATO. Ruining our country. Best incumbent mid-term performance in 50 years - Biggest liar on the planet Etc.- Yeah, etc.... Shall I go on? Hardcore troubadour 15,911 Posted December 6, 2022 The right move. Too bad it took a pandemic brought to us by China to make us realize that we need to have critical goods produced here in the US. Now how about antibiotics and other critical goods coming back to the US? The work isn’t done. Let China make junk like they used to. Keeping things we need in their hands is lunacy. Baker Boy 1,710 Posted December 6, 2022 The Taiwanese Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) first announced plans to build a $12B chip-fabrication plant in Arizona in 2020. It wasn’t long before the company started seeking subsidies. No timings were given at the time, but the company subsequently said that production would begin in 2024. iam90sbaby 2,727 Posted December 6, 2022 I don't understand why people are so excited about a Taiwanese company manufacturing chips in the US. Because TSMC is the only company in the world who can make the most advanced chip capability available to designers. Intel has similar process capability but it is highly customized to their designs and unusable outside of Intel. It is extremely difficult to do the accessibility part (CAD basically, which was my industry). This is the new battlefront with China; we are preventing advanced tools from going there. We can't let TSMC sit on China's doorstep. If China were to attempt to take TSMC over, at the risk of sounding Justin, we might nuke them. It is that important. I suppose you think it was a coincidence that the pfizer announcement came the literal first business day after Biden was declared the winner? If that doesn’t tell you they were paid to sit on the info so the Trump admin couldn’t use it as a feather in the cap, idk what to tell ya Stock market gains The S&P 500 has lost value during President Biden's term, whereas it was in positive territory at this point in the terms of former Presidents Trump and Obama. By the numbers: The S&P 500 is down 5.6% between the last market close before Biden's inauguration and this past Friday's market close.Oct 16, 2022 I’m not exactly a trump fan but the conspiracy with big pharma was plain as day. and the market?
