Yet Another Win For Biden - Chip Manufacturing Coming To The US

Covid isn’t over. Not by a long shot. Hospitalizations and deaths up in LA county (I believe I read) by 75%. Biden never should have said those words.

Businesses open.  No masks.  Sorry, covid is over.

Compare/contrast now vs January 21 and you tell me if you think the country regarding covid is in the same place.

We are on the brink of issuing another mask mandate here in LA county. Are you really this dense?

The lock downs are over but how the hell did you come up with covid being over?  That shite isn't going anywhere.

Compare contrast your freedom now vs January 21.

Do you hear about hospitals being overrun with covid patients?  Do you have to wear a mask anymore?  Are businesses back open?

Why won't you people admit we're basically back to normal thanks to the Biden admin's vaccine rollout.

Is LA county the US?

That ain't happening anywhere else.  And on the brink and issuing it are two different things.

And btw, LA county is dealing with not just covid, but RSV and influenza.  Covid had relegated to the back now thanks to Joe's vaccine rollout.

Would you prefer to go back to how things were in January 21?

Nothing different here in Iowa.  We have had a republican governor though so we only shut down for a short period of time.  Biden had made little difference on covid from what I've seen.

lol, I guess vaccines in the arms of 150M+ americans is little difference?  I guess going from a top 10 in deaths per capita to way down the list now is nothing?  I guess airports, restaurants, all stores booming now is no different?  Remember Trump's band of merry fools had states fighting each other for PPE and buying supplies on the black market.  Could barely get 1M shots by late December, 19M short of goal.  But those yahoos surely would have been as organized and efficient as Biden's admin, no doubt...SMH

Holy smokes the lack of intellectual sincerity is astounding.

Don't worry.  I'm here to set you folks straight.

Just because people are acting like it’s over, doesn’t make it so.

And here’s an article from last month about the covid rates in LA county. I’m sure it’s worse now:

Is your life "more normal" now or in January 21?  Have you had to wear a mask the last year?  Are restaurants seating inside?  Are there any number of patron limitations?  What is the same now as it was in January 21?

I continue to fight the staff at every doctor appointment and hospital visit I have about the requirement to wear a mask. I tell them I can't breathe with one, they insist that I wear one, so I wear one on my chin, or not at all, and dare them to throw me out. It's unacceptable that I have to waste energy disputing the mask policy. Once you get to the exam room, nobody in sight is wearing a mask. It's a show for the waiting room.

Monthly visit to the discount grocery Aldi today. Prices are insane. Eggs have gone up 4x in the past year or so. $4.08 for a dozen eggs? You can't eat them anymore, but just use them as a part of recipes. Chicken 2x. Ear of corn 4x. Cabbage 2x. Beef 2x. Fresh garlic 2x, Apples 3x. The only food I can think of that is decreasing in price is potatoes. I continue to stock up on non perishable pantry items; today was more beans, beans, jars of salsa, sauces, spices, beans and beans. Half the items I was seeking today were just empty spaces on the shelves. If you don't think food supply chain issues are real, you are a numbskull.

Oh, and gas is around 6 bucks a gallon. Up 4x in the past year or two.

Healthcare institutions will likely always require masks since they've proven effective at reducing all kinds of infections.

And you need to find somewhere else to shop cause most food around me is getting close to pre-covid.

And the national price of gas is like $.80 cents a gallon higher than January 21.  You my friend are either a liar or a horrible shopper.  And shelves are packed so bigly retailers are offering discounts.  The price of an overseas shipping container is down 90% from its peak.

Haha.  You must not remember Trump's complete bungling of Covid.  If you think he could have delivered 150M shots in 5 months when he couldn't produce more than 1M you've got rocks in your head.  No offense.

Trump's admin was complete chaos.  The freaking people who worked for him have said as much a ton of times.

Trump = US top 10 in deaths per capita

Biden = Started from Trump's horrible start and now we're WAY down the list.

But yea, Trump surely would have gotten his chit together...LMFAO

i'm still confused as to why you are calling it Joe's rollout .  you never responded with why Pfizer announced its 99% effective vaccine on the first business day after Joe was announced the election winner.   Do you think that was a perfectly timed coincidence?

Quote

The S&P 500 has lost value during President Biden's term, whereas it was in positive territory at this point in the terms of former Presidents Trump and Obama. By the numbers: The S&P 500 is down 5.6% between the last market close before Biden's inauguration and this past Friday's market close.Oct 16, 2022

Did Joe deny it?  Did Joe refuse to wear a mask?  Did Joe downplay it and say it'd be gone by Easter or that 15 cases would soon be zero?  Did Joe disband the pandemic response team?

Dude I got a million more.

There has never been a study in the history of evah that showed masks do d!ck. No one has studied you, though. Masks may cause lung cancer, not proven yet, but it's a lead pipe cinch. As are you, when it comes to d!ck.

Um, Bubble Boy, you are definitely going out on a ledge to think Aldi is not a discount grocery store. I suppose the Dollar Store might be the only thing cheaper

Siphoning gas from your neighbors' cars in the middle of the night can round down the amount you spend for gas.

You seem scatterbrained, like someone taking directions from the inflatable tube guy outside the local car dealership.

I'm not normally a conspiracy theorist either but it makes too much sense. No way they are able to declare a 99% effective vaccine on the Monday after Biden "wins" the election without knowing weeks (or months) ahead of time. I do believe they were paid to not announce anything until the election was over. Trump would have used the vaccine news to gain extra supporters "look what we just accomplished!, yuuuge!"

Instead, they let the election play out, hope for a Biden win, and give him his first "Win"

The S&P was at 3,800 on January 20, 2021.  It's now around 3.900.  How exactly is that a 5% loss?

AND it's stayed basically flat despite giant rate increases by the Fed meant to crush the market.  If you don't think the market has been extremely resilient, again you're being disingenuous.  The Trump run up was 100% due to the tax cuts for the rich, free money from the Fed, and quantitative easing.  Biden has enjoyed NONE of that yet the market has rallied quite bigly lately.

Biden has been a miracle worker essentially.

How does it makes sense?  Trump gave big pharma free reign to make the vaccines.  He was very anti-government restrictions on business.

Why exactly would they actively work against him?

Occam's razor friend.  The obvious, less complicated explanations tend to be the correct ones.

But I assume you'll also admit that BIden has faced market headwinds unlike anything we've seen in 12 years?

I guess that is true of Blue States but many Red States have been open since summer of 2020. SD never locked down and where I live we opened up In August 2020. You lived in a world where Covid was a pandemic but I lived in a world where Covid was an inconvenience aided by mandates by the federal government.

‘BTW: there is still a vaccine mandate in place.
