Needless to say, my two dads 2022 would be a little different. Cheers would be the only one I'd want to watch again.

Started in 89, same as Saved By the Bell.:dunno:

One episode, in December...  Sorry, but that doesn't make it an '80s sitcom...

Saved by the Bell shouldn't be listed either IMO, only one of four seasons was done in the '80s...

Awesome thread.  I agree with The Cosby Show at #1.  It just was.....

Other notes:

I think of Cheers  and Night Court as an 80's show

How the fock is Married with Children not on this list?

Bang for the buck?  The Golden Girls for all the money. Simply an amazing show.

I didn’t see much of those shows. It was the 80’s. I was out having fun when they were on. I do remember the blacks watching that Cosby Show in the tv lounge though.

Fyi, this is a user submitted list.  They clearly forgot married with children.  And golden girls is way too high, but I've never seen one episode.  It never appealed to me as a young boy to watch a bunch of old ladies complaining.

I get the Married With Children snub.......it first aired in '88, didn't really get it's legs (and Kelly didn't become Kelly) until the 90's.

The '80s weren't a Golden era for sitcoms, but certainly were for dramatic television.

Not really... If you're going to include Coach, you have to include Seinfeld - which also aired in '89.
