What do you think of Barlow?

He's the closer, even with the Chapman signing.  But what are they going to win, 55 games?

Of course who the hell knows, maybe this new approach gives them the most wins they have seen since 2017.

@cmh6476 - Reds vs Royals for a t-shirt bet? Whichever teams sucks the least wins?

If there is anything that tell you anything about how the royals season will go, they still have opening day tickets for sale for I think as low as $27, plus all this

  • Bobby Witt, Jr. Bobblehead gate giveaway presented by Price Chopper
  • On it's 50th Anniversary, full powder blue uniforms return and make their debut at The K
  • Pre-game Concert by Grammy-award winning Country Rock duo Brothers Osborne
    • Located on the Miller Lite Party Deck
    • Concert will take place from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
    • Must have an Opening Day game ticket to attend
  • Pre-game Opening Day ceremony
    • Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Kauffman Stadium Fountains
    • Members of the 1973 Royals Opening Day team will be in attendance. This was the first team to wear full powder blues
    • Flyover by aircraft from Whiteman Air Force Base
  • Check back as more details are added

But also royals 1-0

I agree. I'll delete my not-real thread in order to hide the proof of my ugly intolerance.

Can't wait to see a playoff series decided on a game ending clock count.

Talking to my wife about the pitch clock, "good, baseball is my least favorite sports game because it's so slow.   It's why they have to have mustard and ketchup races."

Ya know, it isn't the baseball purists they are trying to appeal to but the lay-person living in such a fast paced society. And not seeing the clock in watching a game right now, it may not even be something the fan really notices over time (I was wondering why I couldn't see it as a viewer).  They probably don't want it to impact the game (which we know ultimately it will), but really just speed it up.

I was watching an old Yankee game from 1995, where Paul O’Neill hit three dingers. I decided to count how long it took for the pitcher to throw a pitch after getting the ball. Almost every time it was around 10 seconds. I’d say that hasn’t been the case in recent years.

There have been games in preseason with 15+ total runs scored clocking in at like 2 1/4 hours.  Yeah.  I might like the pitch clock!

It'll be hard to get six 24 oz. beers down in that amount of time.

As a Guardians fan, where do baseball fans think Bieber ends up? I believe he gets traded regardless of Cleveland's record. They can't afford him, and I don't believe they just let him go in free agency.

Plesac needs to go. I'd like to see them move Josh Naylor and Myles Straw. Upgrade Center field and catcher would be great.

Cleveland has a nice problem of a deep farm system. Need to move people and make a run!

Just be like Tampa and forever have an amazing farm system and rarely make the move to go for it.

I'm hoping the new minority owner helps bump the payroll in time. I'm tired of seeing the Guardians being a farm system for the "rich" teams.

The thing that most people don't understand about MLB is that not only is Cecil Fielder retired, but so is Prince Fielder. ☝️
