The thing that most people don't understand about MLB is that not only is Cecil Fielder retired, but so is Prince Fielder. ☝️

And Jonathan Papelbon and Mike Hargrove...

George brett was on between innings earlier and says "you guys watch this kid who is coming up later, we got for a 38th round pick for from someone, CJ Alexander, you've got to watch this guy his swing is unbelievable, wow!"

That dude comes up just now, and blasts a shot over the center field fence.   He has an ops right now over 2.00. :wow:

Shortly after the Royals’ spring-training game against the Cincinnati Reds began Tuesday night in Arizona, Diamond Sports Group announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Diamond, a subsidiary of Sinclair Broadcast Group, owns Bally Sports Kansas City, which was broadcasting Tuesday’s Royals game. In a news release, Diamond said it is looking to “eliminate over $8 billion of the Company’s outstanding debt.” The news comes a little more than two weeks before the Royals begin the regular season, but Diamond said Tuesday’s move won’t affect broadcasts on the 19 regional sports networks it owns, including Bally Sports KC.

I think it said bally sports has rights to maybe 14 team broadcasts.  It's a bigger issue than just one team.

Yes sir.  White Sox coming in to play the Astros.  They are dropping the championship banner at 5:30, street fest starts at 3:00 and the game starts at 6:00.

Disgusting. 195 million for a .500 team. Embarrassing.

Am I the only one that wants the Royals team plane to crash so Toofy stops posting about his pathetic team?

LOL...  One thing for sure, he has made me dislike the Chiefs and Royals A LOT more than I did in the past...

Kansas I already hated...

The Brewers are on pace to not allow a single hit for the year!

Admittedly, the sample size is only 2 innings.

Cool.

I've been to two openings, strangely neither for the Brewers.  Seen openers for both the Cubs and Indians---long long time ago. Saw the Cubs opener in HS-just showed up and got tickets-but every since Wrigleyville became such a hot spot to live in Chicago, I doubt many HS kids can afford opening day tickets to see em.

Have a good one.

We are at 1hr 33 min into this game, top of the 6th.  A friend I'm with is getting antsy, because before he always got around this time of the game.   But games this year will breeze by.

MLB's 15 games on Opening Day averaged 2 hours and 45 minutes Thursday, 26 minutes shorter than last year's average, indicating a successful regular-season start for the pitch clock introduced to shorten games as part of the league's new rule changes

I still barely watched any of the Red Sox, as they blow.

Royals have played 18 innings and have scored 0 runs.   Only given up 4 thus far, but still.  :bench:

Because I haven't started watching MLB yet and may not, who knows. I did not know this happened.

Also I bet on the Orioles cause Chris Sale sucks.
