paulinstl 241 Posted January 10 Jackal passed away shortly before Christmas. He was one of the first members here and played in many Geek leagues through the years. He was a 20 + year member of the Air Force and a reservist. He was truly a good man. Long live the Sippah Cup. I thought some of the old timers here would like to know. TylerRoseFan, Farmer Bernie, Jetdoc and I have a group text that has been ongoing for a while. Jackal joined us, and we had a fun thing going. He said he was busy and might not join in much, so no one thought anything when he didn't respond lately. He's seriously one of the great Geeks of all time. I'm efforting to find out the cause of death. His obituary didn't say much about it, but on the surface it appeared sudden. But knowing him, he'd be bedridden with some Stage 4 cancer and not let on. He didn't live all that far from me, and he passed through here frequently to get to Dallas, and we talked about grabbing lunch, a beer or whatever. Yeah, we're getting old and losing people.
