What the fuk does this have to do with what I wrote? Take your extreme, unrealistic, nonsensical questions and offer them to someone who cares.

Your leftist idiot comrades brought up gender queer sh!tbird. You seem ok with showing porn to children. Does that make you a normal person?

Have I ever written a single sentence about Gender Queer? Have I written a single sentence about what is appropriate for kids under high school age? You’re welcome to go back and look.

None.  It shouldn't be in a school library.  That's an easy one, and I always include it because it seems it's the only one people address.

Care to answer why the other examples should be challenged or not allowed in school libraries?

Remember, these challenges and bans aren't just school libraries, they are at public libraries too.

Here are some of your other examples -

All Boys Aren’t Blue - a personal account of growing up black and queer.

The Bluest Eye - A story of a victimized adolescent Black girl who is obsessed by white standards of beauty and longs to have blue eyes. She is wrongly blamed for killing a boy’s cat and is called a “nasty little black ”.

What age/grade are these appropriate?

My other examples were Harry Potter and Handmaids Tale.  I didn't say anything about these two.

Unless they are clear cut cases of pictures depicting sex or a book that provides 0 benefit as far as lessons learned, characters, whatever I would hope many High Schoolers could handle reading these books.

Outside of that my lean is to keep them available, not remove them from shelves.  My line and discussion changes as we get to younger kids or when books show up as reading assignments.

Have you read either of those books? Why specifically should they be removed from a school library.  Feel free to use HS as the example.

IMO both of them would be highly appropriate for high school.

To you every liberal is a hardcore leftist. That’s because your viewpoint is extremely narrow (and based, usually, on false information.)

You want 3rd graders access to books depicting gay oral sex? What kind of freak are you?

From what I've read, Gender Queer has been not made available to 3rd graders anywhere, mostly for those in High School and in some instances Middle School.

Pretty sure this is the book that even the author said it shouldn't be in schools.  I could be mixing it up with a different book, though.

Maybe you should stop telling teachers what they’re allowed to teach about. Take your fascist ideas back to 1920s Italy or 1930s Germany and leave us the fuk alone. How about that?

The only fascists in this country are the liberals. If you think differently, you don't know what fascism is.

Not at all.  But people who believe elitists know best and citizens aren't smart enough to raise their children, fit into the authoritarian leftist camp.

I haven't read anything about the author saying that and she accepted funding from a non-profit organization for the legal fight to prevent the book from being banned.

From an interview with her (at the below link) she says nothing about it being inappropriate in schools and does mention this:

https://www.npr.org/2023/01/04/1146874011/author-maia-kobabe-gender-queer-book-ban

In 2020, Gender Queer was given two awards by the American Library Association (ALA): a Stonewall Honor, and an Alex Award, which recognizes books published for adults that hold crossover appeal for readers "aged 12 to 18."

Tim will never believe that label because he sees nationalism as the key element of fascism.  But whatever you call it, when you have big corporations and government in alliance and controlling educations, news, social media, speech, values...it is the same authoritarian rule which has led to millions of deaths everytime that is tried.  It is pure evil as the power will always corrupt those in power and these unelected rulers will be beyond the control of our elected one.   In fact we have already lost much of our autonomy.

Absolutely. And I can only think of 2 reasons why people would want to not only live under authoritarian rule, but to push it on to others, and those reasons are:

1) They want some level of perceived power that they think will "advance" their personal lives over those postured below them,

or

2) They are completely blind and very ignorant of what it is they crave.

Those two reasons are often time blended together but it is nice to make them distinct to see what drives the liberals in this country.

It's focking sad we have so many that live here that don't know history, and are obstinate when it comes to not wanting to break free of their ignorance.

@The Real timschochet is one such person along with @dogcows, @Pimpadeaux, @TimHauck, @BuckSwope, and the other screw loose liberal idiots that post here. They know who they are.

I just want to point out that the guy who is defending banning high school honor courses is accusing the guy trying to defend academic freedom of wanting an authoritarian state. You have managed to twist reality completely around to match your warped perspective. What an Orwellian fukhead you are.

No fukhead we don’t want our tax dollars teaching young black youth to hate whitey and exposing our children to kink and porn. Funny you call him Orwellian when you fully supported people getting fired for refusing the Covid shot. You’re the worst kind of human imaginable.

You have no clue about gains for this country. And you shouldn’t call people you dislike fascists; it leaves no room for you to describe the dictatorship you want to achieve.

Liberals are more concerned with well off white kids being taught Marxism under the guise of AA studies than they are about poor black kids being able to read, write and do math at grade level. Or even close. Makes sense, given their agenda.

And that agenda is to indoctrinate the comfortable and keep the underclass where they are. It’s obvious.

It’s their only pathway to future votes. Most men and women grow out of the nonsense at some point.  Best to make the spoiled feel guilty. It works. Look at Tim.

As soon as the panic about “wokeness” in schools and the supposed teaching of critical race theory hit the mainstream, many Black journalists could smell what was coming. The laws against critical race theory and legislation such as Florida’s Stop Woke Act (another DeSantis special that has faced legal challenges) were always about anti-Blackness.

I have tried making this point over and over in my writing and in chats with well-meaning people who wanted to understand what the right was fussing about. I would hear people insist that if we just explained what critical race theory was, we could win by making fools of the conservatives who were banning nonexistent critical race theory courses. Those folks were wrong.

Instead, by singling out AP African American studies, Florida is showing us what the end game was always about: making institutional anti-Blackness lawful again.

From Karen Attiah at the Washington Post.

Doesn’t appear you are. If you were you wouldn’t be mentioning an elective when kids can’t read or do basic math in some of the largest school districts. Priorities.  You don’t have any.

gotta love it when they bring in new classes when reading, writing, &  arithmetic are not only lacking but racist.
