I'm sure this was probably a topic in the past but I don't care...

I'll start with my two favorites:

Iron Maiden "Live After Death"

My favorite all time, which I mention whenever favorite albums come up, is Elton John - Live in Australia.

Growing up I listened a ton to Kansas - Two for the Show, and Simon and Garfunkel - The Concert in Central Park

For Simon and Garfunkel, it was literally a live recording:  I put one of those old original cassette recorders (the rectangles where you had to hit Record and Play at the same time) up against the TV while the concert was playing (1981, so I was 14 years old).  :music_guitarred:

Unplugged is the only live album I like. I much prefer studio versions.

I was going to be contrarian and post an album by the band live, however after reading through their list of songs/albums I realized that I did not recognize any of the names.

They were on the radio in the 90's but we're very forgettable I guess.

I absolutely love when a band knocks a live song out of the park.  Frampton "Do you feel" has been posted, a few more:

and perhaps my favorite "unplugged" song:

Holy dang does Jared Leto have a great voice!

Anybody that's seen the Rolling  Stones knows there's no better live act than they.

Older live =  Get Yer Ya Ya's Out

Newer live;  any body that's seen the TV spectacular =  Havana Moon can't deny their greatness live

I saw them back in 2005 and then invited the family to go see them in Dallas a year or two ago. Only my oldest son took me up on it. I had low expectations and thought it was great that I was able to take my sons to a Stones concert.

Well, they focking KICKED ASS and wildly exceeded all expectations. One of the best live shows ever.

I would have put Ya Ya's on my list due to its reputation but haven't listened to it, which is shameful.

I saw Catfish Hodge and Little Feat with Three Dog Night at the old Capital Centre in Landover, Maryland.

The Redskins were playing the St. Louis Cardinals in a late afternoon game and me and a buddy of mine were listening to it on the way there.  The game had an injury that held up the game a bit and then it went into Overtime.  We sat there in the Parking Lot listening to the game and figured we were gonna miss Catfish Hodge due to game lasting so long.  Finally the game ended and we went inside thinking we'd missed Catfish Hodge BUT he was just going on an hour late.

We found out the next day that Catfish Hodge being a Redskins fan was listening to the game and waited til it was over to go on stage.  Three Dog Night who had a long show planned wanted Catfish to get on stage but he refused til the game ended.  Then Three Dog Night went to Little Feat and told them to go onstage BUT Lowell George was a Redskins fan and was also listening to the game and refused to go on stage while the game was still going on.  Three Dog Night was pissed BUT had to wait.

THAT is why we walked in seeing Catfish Hodge just beginning his gig.

I saw Catfish Hodge at a gig many years later and talked to him about it.  He was happy that I was a fan AND remembered the whole thing.  He laughed and laughed and bought me a beer and chatted with me a while.

Cool beans !
