Sayings that need to die

Recommended Posts

I'm not saying this is top of the list, I'm just saying it's the first thing I could think of. "Dollars to donuts." Probably made a lot of sense when you could get a dizen for like 10 cents? But now that donuts are rolling around like 3 bucks? It's actually a really bad deal.

I know there's a ton more that have outlived their  usefulness. Much like myself. And much like my lexicon. So what do you got?

Saying anything is "fire" deserves a punch in the face.

I have never heard anyone say this.    I guess it is a regional thing?

If we are going regional these people up north need to stop with the "you betcha".

Nah, it's a Seinfeld reference that popped into my head.  No one actually says it.

"Yeppers" is one that I hear almost daily at work and I'm tired of it.

Inclusion and diversity.

Democrats constantly referring to 'underserved communities' & saying we need to 'invest' more in those areas. Translation: We need to take more money from communities who are doing well, and transfer it to those that aren't/never have.

Yeet,

First Responders...no offense...too much word salad, just be specific...cop, emt, firefighter....

First responders is a buzzword created during 9/11.

Please and thank you at the end of a sentence....it presumes you will get what u want.

Can you pass the ketchup please and thank you.

Just say please....then after you get the ketchup..say thanks...not before the request is fullfilled.
