Not sure why you think Shrub is a longshot. This is his kind of race.

Not a fan of the coliseum races.

Agreed. There's no time to pass on the straightaways, if you can call them that, and you aren't getting by anybody in the turns unless you move them. This race is won or lost on the last stop on Pit Road.

I know their trying to capitalize on the love of short tracks and the prestige of the venue, but it falls short.  Theyre grasping at straws at this point and as long as they have a TV deal they don’t really care. They lost their way when they stopped running at The Rock and N Wikesboro.

They're going back to Wilkesboro this year and Auto Club is getting converted into a mile and a half short track.

The Clash was good at Daytona when it was ONLY pole winners from the previous year. Then they changed the rule, that's what killed prestige of this race. I like this version of the Clash better than everyone's welcomed Daytona.

What killed NASCARs momentum was building too many 1.5 tracks in major cities that don't care about motorsports. They've done a good job at getting back to their roots the last 2-3 seasons.

I'm not a GearHead but Ty Gibbs would be a good bet .. to finish first OR last.

I don't think it was necessarily leaving Wilks and The Rock though, if their replacements weren't 1.5 cookie cutters I think the expansion would've gone alot better.

The Car of Tomorrow was also a hunk of sh!t.

Huh? They've only ran this race one other time and KB is a great short track driver.

He has the fastest time at the track in it's short time being made. Think he is around 17-1.

No prob. There are a lot of other drivers today that are really long shots, My bad and was just saying he was a long shot for being good at the track with those odds.

Not sure where you are looking but

2023 Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum odds
Kyle Busch 8-1
Joey Logano 8-1
Chase Elliott 8-1
Kyle Larson 8-1
Christopher Bell 10-1
Denny Hamlin 12-1
Ryan Blaney 12-1
Tyler Reddick 15-1
William Byron 15-1
Ross Chastain 15-1
Kevin Harvick 18-1
Martin Truex Jr. 20-1
Brad Keselowski 25-1
Alex Bowman 28-1
Bubba Wallace 28-1
Chase Briscoe 28-1
Daniel Suarez 35-1
Aric Almirola 40-1
Ryan Preece 40-1
Austin Dillon 50-1
Austin Cindric 50-1
AJ Allmendinger 75-1
Ty Gibbs 75-1
Chris Buescher 75-1
Noah Gragson 75-1
Justin Haley 75-1
Erik Jones 75-1
Ricky Stenhouse 200-1
Harrison Burton 250-1
Michael McDowell 250-1
Ty Dillon 300-1
Todd Gilliland 500-1
BJ McLeod 1000-1
Corey Lajoie 1000-1
Cody Ware 1000-1
JJ Yeley 1000-1

----

KB for obvious reasons

CBell is a good play. He was great on flat short tracks last year. Won at Martinsville and New Hampshire (if you count that). He has years of Chili Bowl experience which is very similar to the Coliseum.

Byron. Another great flat short tracker. He'll be tough to beat tonight.

Dinger at 75-1 is good too. His elite RC skills will translate well to this track.

I don't really bet on NASCAR like that though. I usually do the 150 lineups on DK and use a lineup optimizer. Those 4 drivers will be in a lot of my lineups tonight.

Who are 40 drivers who were never in my kitchen

Was a huge fan back in the day. Only know about 5 names on this list. Wow.

I took Bell as well and he was 10-1, Kyle was 17-1 on FD.

It's sarcasm.  The stands aren't very full.  However, I'd withhold judgment until the main race.  There are a lot of idiots in LA who don't understand that the heat races are important and good races in and of themselves.

I grew up going to a racetrack called Saugus Speedway, which was a 1/3 mile shorttrack about an hour north of the Coliseum.  So this race is fun for me.  Sorry some of you don't like the super short track nature of this one.  It's just a pre season race.  Try to enjoy it.

Not to mention they're self-absorbed asshoIes who think showing up late to everything means you're more important than everybody who got there before you.

I'm enjoying it. It's a race after all. Just seems to me it would be better on dirt.
