Yes and if you want to do pre 50's, that is cool too. Cutoff is 1999

So many ways to go here. I really didn't want the first pick.

This one was great then and it rings true today.

Nice pick. Kinda bums me, but his catalog is so deep I can take others and still be happy.

I was going back and forth between 7 or 8  different artists, multiple decades....

Decided to pull the trigger on that one just to get things started. It won't be my last Jr song.

Good pick and his signature song.

Solid start ladies and gentlemen. First round won't be seeing any surprises, it'll be top songs by top artists.

This one was in my back pocket. In the early 90's I found myself in the city jail with a couple of friends of mine. We'd gone to a party and on the way home, two of us were passed out as the driver decided to stop at a 7/11 to grab a beer for the final leg home. Unbeknownst to him, there were two cops in the parking lot, yeah, he was that drunk, and they tried to wake me and the other guy up. We were slumped against each other in the front of a Nissan pickup. No luck.

We finally come to, the three of us in a cell and begin to sing this song at the top of our lungs. Repeatedly. Some of the other inhabitants started to express their displeasure with our choice of musical entertainment and began banging on the walls and threatening to beat the sh!t out of us in the morning.

So of course, we sang louder. Then the jail cops came in and told us to quiet down because we were annoying the other tenants. That didn't work.

We sang that sh!t until we passed out, again.

Good times.

Yea great first two picks. While it's early I have a question, What do we do about duets ? Just count as a regular song ?

Yes, draft the song and list those that performed it.

Bostonlager is a sentimental softie at heart. Who knew? He hides it so well.

I will be playing golf tomorrow morning and Sunday morning, but other than that I should be around most of the weekend. PM your emails and I will grant you access to update the draft board.

On the afternoon of Monday, August 26th 2013 I was having some drinks in a t1tty bar and enjoying some Columbian bam bam when I caught wind that George Jones had passed. I slipped the DJ a nice sum of money and asked him to keep playing the possum until he ran out of songs. I turned the strip club into my own personal honky tonk that day.

I know I am in the minority here and some may want to revoke my redneck card for what I'm about to say. I don't dislike Johnny Cash, but I don't particularly like him either.

Nice pick. Do you want it slotted into a decade or a wildcard pick?
