Yep pepper shortage that they put in it, was supposed to be back on Shelves in October but looks like no peppers till spring. So no Siracha probably till summer.

Just an fyi..that sheit with the chicken on the bottle isnt even real siracha.  Noobs

  1. 1 lb roasted hatch chiles.
  2. 1/2 lb Red jalapeños, stems removed and roughly chopped.
  3. 4 garlic cloves.
  4. 1/8 cup sugar.
  5. 1/8 cup brown sugar.
  6. 1-2 tsp salt.
  7. 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar.
  8. 1 tsp xanthan gum.

1Place peppers, garlic, sugar and salt in a food processor and pulse until roughly chopped.

2Transfer mixture to a clean container, cover and let sit at room temperature. A mason jar with a loose fitting lid or a clean bowl with plastic wrap will work.

3Fermentation should begin in about 2 days. When bubbles begin to form, stir your “mash” once or twice a day to combine and help settle. Continue until the mixture stops bubbling, about 6 to 8 days.

4Transfer the mash to a commercial blender, add the vinegar, and puree until very smooth.

5Strain the sauce through a fine sieve. Add xanthan gum and puree again until smooth and thick.

6Store your sauce in squeeze bottles in the fridge for up to 3 months!

Pay attention to the food preppers. They pick up on the trends early. We knew the Siracha shortage was coming early-ish last year.

Haven't seen Siracha on shelves in Philly for quite some time. When you see 'em, buy 'em. But I believe in a well stocked pantry, I have an affinity for spice and all things heat, and I just counted that I have 18 large bottles of Siracha at my mercy.

Suck it.

I bought this because they were out of the one with the rooster on it. I think I like it better.

the only time I have it is on sushi, in spicy mayo, so I doubt I even know the difference

Agree, tastes like horseradish too me. Yuppy sauce.  🤮

Valentina, Nando's Peri-Peri or green Tobasco depending on the food.

The warehouses they use to store the barrel’s they let it it sit till ready, four years, are massive and an incredible process. Been around since before WWII.

I put on raw oysters.eggs, everything.. I got suspended from school in fourth grade for dropping the f- bomd. Great three day vacation. When my mom found out what I had done, she made me drinks a shot glass of it. I did, and laughed. Then she made me kneel on rice for thirty minutes. I wasn’t laughing then.
