Sure, but the problem here won't be the law, it will be the left wing DA's who are simply going to charge EVERYONE with committing a crime with a firearm, regardless if it was justified or not. That's how they'll attempt to get around that. Defending your home? Well, the intruder has rights too and you used a firearm to stop him so that's a firearm crime.
