Just to close the loop on this, I found how this study related to race.

It's here: https://unz.com/isteve/the-origin-of-the-marshmallow-test/

The original test was done in Trinidad, with a handful of kids split into two groups, East Indians and Africans.  And what he observed was that the east Indian kids delayed gratification more than the African kids.  He theorized that this was due to lack of trust, and the fact that most of the African kids didn't have a father in the house.  So he repeated the test with only kids that had fathers in the house and there was no difference.  It's all in the link.

The Stanford study wasn't about race, and neither were any of the others.  Applying rigorous scientific controls, the original Stanford study was deemed flawed and debunked.

Blacks have a quick twitch to violence = FALSE

Blacks have no self control = FALSE

Blacks have lower intelligence = FALSE

Repeating this sh1t makes you look racist and stupid.

You don't even realize that you just took a radical right wing link that is using the marshmallow experiment to say

Blacks have a problem with the father sticking around = TRUE

and somehow you read it as if it backs up your preconceived notions because it's one step removed from eating the marshmallow.  It even pointed out the squirrel you were going to chase and you still chased after it.

It was about whether the child’s father lived with him (which seems to correlate closely with race, but hey look a squirrel!)

Let's forget whether you agree with the dozens of tests that point out race as a correlating factor for a minute. The fact that there is a concerted effort to wipe these fact from history ought to be very telling.  Average internet sleuths like @GutterBoy couldn't even find them (whether you agree with them or not).  The Wiki page is completely void of the original findings about race.  That's troubling.

It refutes 90s douche statement that blacks have a problem with delayed gratification, and lays the blame on other issues, not skin color.

The fact that blacks have a higher than average father absenteeism isn't disputed.  Saying it's because their skin color is what makes you an ass hole

Why is it troubling?  Because you need more false racist tropes out there to support your racism?  Focking trash person.

You might want to consider the source, and learn how to read.

Scientific publications shouldn't be censored just because you disagree with them.

Has nothing to do with agreeing or disagreeing, it's because it's sh1t science and easily proven false, by the guy who did the focking study.

This is horseman level posting.  You're garbage

Then prove it wrong and let the science speak for itself.   Hint: it doesn't.

It does have everything to do with that culture.

Why did this “professor” think it was ok to approach those students like that, and do violence? They were allowed to be there. Someone needs to tell her everywhere isn’t her “space”. Fockin child.

So let me get this straight....

90'sbaby makes a reference to "The Marshmallow Test", being evidence that black people are more susceptible to crime, violence, poverty, etc, etc, etc.  Then Gutterboy finds a bunch of leftist links to say that study wasn't about race.  He didn't find the study though, he found opinionated reactions to the study.

Then, 90's finds the original study itself, and posted the link.

After posting said link, Gutterboy proceeds to post multiple times after that post was made and never responded to it.  Gutterboy then claims to have found the original study, but what he actually found was yet another leftist's conclusion to the original study.  My guess is that Gutterboy read the original study posted by 90's and didn't like the conclusion (see below), so he ignored the post (because he's still yet to respond to that post with the link in it).

Conclusion

In conclusion, Blacks have lower self-control than Whites and this is probably, in part, due to genetics. This difference in turn likely leads to many of the social and economic disparities we see between the races which are normally blamed on Whites. Hopefully, you will consider this and other group psychological differences next time you feel tempted to blame something on White people.

Gutterboy likes the Leftist's reactions better because it helps him pretend that Leftists aren't the real racists.

Did I get that right?

Almost.  The part you missed is the best part.

Gutter's last link where he claims he found how the original study related to race is actually an alt right opinion piece that is snidely saying blacks have issues with fathers staying in the home.  He just doesn't read too well and didn't pick up on that in his haste.

The Unz Review - Overall, we rate The Unz Review a Questionable Source due to extreme right-wing bias, promotion of propaganda and hate, and utilizing poor sources.

Steve Sailer author of your article - Steve Sailer has been criticized as both a racist and an Islamophobe. He is also listed as a promoter of hate by utilizing primitive stereotypes to describe people of color.

Well, to be honest, when I got to that post, I kind of got tired of his nonsense and didn't actually read what he posted.  Just saw HIS conclusions.

The Machete Standard: The Firing of an Activist Professor Leaves More Questions Than Answers

....The most remarkable aspect of the story may not be a professor brandishing a knife, but a college actually finding a basis to fire an activist academic. Hunter College, after all, had refused to fire Rodríguez after she trashed a pro-life table run by students. She is not the first academic to attack a pro-life display or even assault others. Indeed, prior professors were celebrated at their schools for taking such actions against pro-life or conservative displays....

....Hunter College, however, did not consider this unhinged attack to be sufficient to terminate Rodríguez.....though it is still not clear where the actual termination line is between trashing displays and abusing students (not a fireable offense) and a machete attack (fireable). Before she was fired, Rodríguez was defended by students and colleagues. The PSC Graduate Center, the labor organization of graduate and professional schools at the City University of New York, actually said Rodríguez was “justified” in trashing the display, which the organization described as “dangerously false propaganda” and “disinformation.”

The statement of the center captures the double standard on many campuses today. The truth is that, if the display was a pro-choice or Black Lives Matter display, the professor would have been canned before the last flyer made it to the floor. When it comes to heckling, attacking or threatening conservatives, however, all bets are off.

Shellyne Rodríguez may have been fired, but chances are some new college will endorse her work  exploring “strategies of survival against erasure and subjugation.”
