If someone from the Squad was placed on the ballot the night before Election Day, they would still get 40% of the vote.  Whoever the nominee is, the most important thing is that they aren’t Trump.

Proving that people are too easily manipulated.  From MSM to elected officials espousing cartoonish depictions that he is Hitler/dictator....on and on....and they just devour these lies without restraint

True dat.  Libs don't care about a slut who sleeps her way to to the top.  If it isn't Trump allegedly banging a porn star it's not worth being outraged about!!!

Certainly it will energize and unify Democrats.  Not so much independants who may be off put by the crudity but will agree she is essentially unqualified for the office.

How would you know? How would anyone know at this point? Was Harry Truman qualified? Or Ronald Reagan? Reagan was a Hollywood B-actor who became a governor of California, and his record here was mediocre at best. He was a terrific President but he certainly wasn’t qualified for it. Trump was probably the least qualified ever, was a horrible President and his experience as President makes him less qualified than Harris, because it’s obvious he’s learned nothing and would only double down on his incompetence, corruption and authoritarian tendencies.

Harris was an excellent state attorney general, a pretty good Senator. Impossible to judge her as a VP because none of them ever do anything. She was OK. Whether she’s qualified to be President nobody knows. Hopefully we’ll find out.

Generally speaking i always find Senators and Conresspeople unqualified.  I find Generals and or Admirals, Governors, and Captains of industry qualified.  Legislative posturing is far different than running a large organization.  I seek experience.  you believer otherwise, which is fine.  You find time in Washington making connections highly relevant, again that's fine.

I actually prefer Senators because they know how to get things done. Look at Biden or LBJ or Obama. Each one got major legislation passed. Governors typically don’t know how to do that. Senators know how to compromise.

The most qualified candidate to be President in modern times was Hillary Clinton. No doubt in my mind she would have been an excellent President. But the voters rejected her. Oh well.

Bush the Elder might disagree.

Actually they didn't. Hillary Clinton received nearly 2.9 million more votes than Donald Trump

Tell me you don't know how American POTUS elections work without telling me you don't know how American POTUS elections work.

You guys should probably keep your powder dry on this one.

I’d say very little chance Biden bows out, unfortunately.

And even if he did, there’s still some chance it wouldn’t be Harris. Probably not a big chance but it’s not a given either.

So you’re being hateful and sexist and racist and showing yourself to be ugly when it probably won’t even be her anyways. I don’t think that’s a very good strategy and just kinda goes to show that MAGA is pretty vile :dunno:

Hillary Clinton was a horrible Secretary of State. One of the worst ever. She left a path of destruction in her wake. Probably because she was unqualified for the job.

I think Biden will stay in but it’s picking up steam at an epic pace that he needs to go. All this discussion pretty much assures he loses.

I disagree that it wouldn’t be Harris primarily because of the money raised that only she can get. Secondarily, the political optics of passing her up would not be good.

Great political nerd theater in any case.

Biden insists he’s staying in.

Don't think they can force him out.

Big money donors maybe could but how would that look? big money overturning the primary results, is one way

No one can make him do anything for sure. He also won so it is his choice. He earned the right even if it is to fock it all up.

There are a few active Dems in Congress saying he isn’t the guy already. More and more donors saying they are done each day. If this continues to ratchet up and he continues to fall in the polls, lose support, perhaps he will step aside. There is still time.

But yeah I agree the odds are better he will stay.

Either way the damage is done for him. This won’t get better, the die is cast for Joe at this point.
