Not exactly. Your assertion is partly correct, but it omits important detail which I briefly discussed here.   There is much more historical content, but to suggest nazism was "left" or "right" does not adequately capture it. It was neither in fact.

Yes. More than once. 

Mein Kampf was written in 1923-24. Its main focus is foreign policy and racial issues, not an economic agenda. On economics there are only a few pages and Hitler is unwilling to define anything beyond general terms. In any case by 1930 he scrapped any of the party’s socialist ideas. 
 

What I just wrote isn’t exactly secret knowledge. It’s basic stuff for anyone with even the most simple understanding of the Third Reich.

You’re correct. But my assertion is that by the time the Nazis took power they were largely a right wing movement, and they were given power by right wingers terrified of communism.
