patweisers44 731 Posted July 17 Hopefully, Skubal trade talks starting to heat up. Lets get the dodgers and orioles in a bidding war. Also we should get something for Flaherty. Tigers are really just a C, 2 or 3 IF, and 2 OF away from fielding a major league lineup.

WhiteWonder 2,410 Posted July 17 2nd half of the season will be interesting for the Rays. Sitting at .500, 5.5 games back of a wildcard spot. But they won 8 of their last 9 series before the break. I think they are in a unique position to sort of be sellers but also still push for the playoffs Already dealt Civale and got Baz back in the rotation. I have a hunch they will deal Eflin, who they paid a decent amount to prior to 2023, if they feel Springs is ready. A rotation of Bradley, Springs, Littell, Pepiot and Baz is probably better than one with Eflin/Civale... and they will have McClanahan and Rasmussen back next season. I would also try as hard as possible to deal Brandon Lowe while he's healthy... (Eflin and Lowe represent their largest annual salaries) if they think Junior Caminero is ready and can play SS. Caballero can play 2B and i'm sure Walls can as well.

Gepetto 1,133 Posted July 30 Well I missed all of this because I was disgusted with the Royals middle inning pitcher letting the White Sox hit everything he threw, but finally checked the score and then how it happened, but the Royals came back and won scoring 6 runs in the 8th. https://x.com/MLB/status/1818114631308652587 Witt Jr offense to take the lead https://x.com/MLB/status/1818120925193109808?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet Witt Jr defense to get final out

I'm not sure what the Braves were thinking with Soler, since he hasn't really played the field all year but the Braves have Ozuna locked in at DH. Maybe coming in as a platoon player? He's owed quite a bit of money over the next two years for a platoon player. Also, Bobby's July has been pretty remarkable:
