Anyone seen it?

Reviews are pretty tepid so I’m thinking I’ll skip it. But for some reason I do kinda want to give it a shot.

 

 

Fargo season 5 was fantastic, btw. Highly recommend if you haven’t seen it

Im not interested in remakes of shows and movies that came out not that long ago. Unoriginal and just updated with some woke shitt I’m sure.

See I’m not asking if it makes you want to cry to your mommy because the characters are black. I’m just curious whether it’s a good or at least entertaining show. TIA :)

Nope, that’s the difference between you and I. If it sucked I’d say that, regardless of any other junk. Whereas you let politics drive your opinions on everything :(

I don’t think it’s funny that you can’t even enjoy a tv show without worrying how woke it is or whatever. I’d classify it more as sad 😢

Why? Woke is uninteresting. Many people agree with me. So yeah, it’s an indicator I won’t enjoy it.

Ahh so that’s the key. If a tv show sucks that’s really all that matters. Now it’s possible it could suck because they were too narrow in their casting or tried to cram too much pandering in. Yes, that can happen. But you see, all I care about is whether it’s good or not. So if it has a diverse cast or an lgbtq teenager or whatever, I really don’t care if it’s still a good show, whereas you’ll throw a hissy tantrum and never even give it a shot

Wrong. There can be a diverse cast or lgbtq whatever and not be woke.  Are you telling me I have never watched a program with diversity or gay characters?

Can you give an example please?  If you're going to say Modern Family, 100% chance if that show debuted now you'd call it woke because of the gay couple. 

Any show these days that includes anything other than straight, white people led by a man is considered woke by the constantly outraged conservatives.

I’m going off of the propensity for remakes to be woke. That’s the show you asked about. I clearly spelled that out, never mentioning diversity being an issue. Is the racism in the room right now with you?

Some of these are period pieces so they have to show a bygone America.

I think most people have been conditioned to accept racism towards White people and totally miss it. Not saying that's you, but saw the posted in my feed and your comment.

I watched the first episode last night and enjoyed it.  Pretty much a different story save for the two people work for a mysterious shadow company.  Color and ethnicity of the characters doesn't matter at all.  I'll watch some more.
