It's pretty easy. 1 - Use MS Storage Spaces to create mirrored array. 2 - Tell the router to assign a static IP to the server. 3 - Assign the router port that Remote Desktop uses (3389) to that IP. 4 - Remote Desktop to your public IP. Just make sure you use a strong password. The reason I typed all that out is because the only time it doesn't work is when that once every 2 year or so for some strange reason they decide to change your public IP on you. Remote desktop is not considered secure for use over the internet. You're leaving your home network vulnerable having that open. There are plenty of more secure alternatives. I'd recommend you move to something more secure.

The fictional supercomputer Deep Thought calculated the answer over 7.5 million years. However, the question itself is unknown.

Every server software I've ever used opens ports, a lot of the time several. I started just using RD when the latest remote server softwares were being targeted and more than one actually were vulnerable.

An obviously made up number. He's since resurrected it for the election by sayingthe prophecy says Trump will reach those odds. The funniest part of the whole thing is that it looks like he's going to by right.

The Real timschochet 5,170 Posted October 31 It seems a little suspect and disingenuous to me that Donald Trump can constantly refer to Democrats as Communists and “the enemy within”, and talk about using the military against them, and yet this comment by Biden is so insulting that the American public is going to rise up in anger and reject Harris because of it. It was a dumb comment for sure. But the hypocrisy and double standard here is overwhelming and hopefully folks will see through it.

The Real timschochet 5,170 Posted October 31 Apparently there’s some kind of shenanigans going on with this Polymarket betting site: https://fortune.com/crypto/2024/10/30/polymarket-trump-election-crypto-wash-trading-researchers/ Something called “wash trading” which makes the odds suspicious. I don’t understand it myself. I’m hoping that it means this race might be much closer than Trump as a 68% favorite. But I don’t know.
