In 2020 Biden went after Trump. He didn't treat him as a joke. In 2024- the Kamala campaign looked at both of those strategies and decided that Hillary's was the one to follow. I have a thought that people were potentially not voting FOR Trump so much as AGAINST Harris(Biden). I think the Democrats refusal to allow her to define the distinctions between her and Joe sunk them.
