That being said, if he really wants to make these permanent, which I truly hope not:  the idea of setting tariffs based on trade deficit is really dumb; I'm not sure where he got the idea or who if anyone is advising him on this.

ETA: that said there is already significant damage from these decisions that will be painful and take a long time to recover from.

We explained this repeatedly. Better an ineffectual, braindead corpse propped up at the resolute desk drooling on his suit than a vampire actively trying to fuk up the country and screw it's citizens while simultaneously treating the worst leaders on earth like idols and allies.

At least you are one of the few to have enough sense to not defend every single retarded, bass-ackward fancy that pops into dear leader's over-coiffed melon.

Much of the damage is already done anyway.

And it's his idea to tariffs countries with a trade deficit.  He's talked about this for years.

It's one thing to think his policies are bad, but if you truly believe the bolded, I don't know how to have a discussion with you. Of course you would be fine with lawfare and anything else to get rid of him, if you think he is the devil.

I fully admit to baiting you with that remark, but it got the point across nicely. 😁

I am not fine with lawfare, but I also don't think it was used on Trump; a point upon which we will never agree. I also do not think he is a vampire or a demon, mostly because I do not believe in the existence of either. But even I am shocked at how quickly he has pushed the envelope and how blatantly illegal many of his actions are. What does not surprise me is the lack of pushback from all those fine constitutional patriots that that have little clue about the constitution or patriotism still supporting everything he does.

FFS, he's blackmailing law firms. C'mon man!
