Don’t feel bad. Went on a walk with my wife the other night and I properly identified two different random flowers.

I could literally feel a piece of me dying inside

For an anniversary gift I got the wife a full on bird watching set up. Different types of feeders, all the seed, bad ass binoculars, identification books…

Now I can tell you the migratory habits of every bird in our state, what kind of nest they build, who feeds the fledglings, and can identify most birds by their calls alone.

Very manly hobby!

ETA: just checked. I have four cans of WD-40. Three different sizes, all nearly full. Only one straw though.

I rebuilt a salt water boat trailer this winter, and I do not own wd-40.

If you ever need to loosen a bolt that has been corroded with salt water wd-40 doesn't do crap, you need kroil and heat.

I've got WD-40, Fluid Film, and PB Blaster. I skinned my hairy knuckles turning wrenches, and steak sauce came out. Women from the neighborhood gather to watch me mow the lawn.

Pb blaster is good as well.

My buddy that I share the boat with helped.

We replaced bunks/bunk mounts, hubs, tires, and rewired. Next year the axle and suspension will need replaced.

The way I am going by next year I would need help backing that trailer.

I got the can with the integrated straw (or at least you leave it in; I never tried to take it out).

Cool on the bird watching stuff.  I've started dabbling in it. What kind of binoculars did you get? I've been eyeing (heh heh) the Nikon Monarch M5 8x42

Also, check out an app called Merlin.  You can take photos of birds and identify/log them.  Same with sounds.  And vice versa; it'll play the song or show the picture.

The original Bino’s were Kowa 8x30, but we have five or six pair now!

Yeah, that Merlin App is awesome! You get to where your ears perk up when you hear a new call, and then Merlin identifies by sound. Very cool app!
