And yes JD Vance is a bigot. Like you he blames undocumented immigrants as a group for criminal violence despite the fact that they commit less violent crimes by percentage than native born Americans. The collective blame of these poor people is a racist attack on the principles that make this country great.

Except when it's a true story? Open your eyes and watch the news! It's everyday!

Not everyone coming in is good. And you should also be worried about the violent thugs who are killing each other in our Cities.

Except that wouldn't fit your cute little narrative, would it?

We have discussed before this belief of yours which is based on the very flawed metric of crimes charged and successfully prosecuted.  Illegals tend to victimize their own communities more than the community at large, though they do that too.  Their community is reluctant to report them for fear they, the victims will get deported.  They are unaware of the U-42 Visas they could get for being witnesses.  When the crimes do get reported, a rarity, they tend to be in large cities, cities dominated by prosecutors who do not charge the crimes as they are beholden to voters in liberal, sanctuary cities, though that is starting to change.  When charged the illegals frequently disappear into other migrant comunities or flee back across the border, avoiding prosecution.  You have no idea of the actaul crime rates.  The metrics simply do not reflect them. None of us know the true rates.  That is the nature of shadow communities of illegals.  Maybe they commit fewer crimes.  Maybe more.  Maybe it is about the same which would be my guess.  Asserting your opinion as fact, though, is refusal to appreciate the issue, refusal based on what, wishful thinking I suppose.

do they increase crime or decrease crime

if you have 100 crimes and 1000 people break into your country illegally how many crimes have been committed?

every illegal has committed the first crime, then any additional crime on top of that is more crime than if they weren't here

%'s dont mean squat

Nope. I’m right about this. You can find flaws in any statistic but to conclude, despite an overwhelming number of studies on this issue that we really can’t make any conclusions is simply nonsense. The wishful thinking is yours Im afraid. And for what purpose? Why the urgent need to demonize these people? It’s sickening. Trump does it to gain votes. But why are you doing it?

How did I demonize them?  Was it my presumption that they are more or less exactly like us in thier propensity towards crime?  How demonizing of me to assume they are like us.

What I do know is that citing flawed studies, so flawed they don't even recognize their own limitations and then stating that they establish the facts shows a disturbing lack of intellectual curiosity.

Dummy, one crime adds to the crime rate. It's one too many. We don't need more crime. Why do Liberals love violence so much?

Using this logic freeways increase the number of fatal car accidents, so we should ban all freeways. It doesn’t make sense.
Undocumented immigrants represent a net benefit to our society. That is my firm opinion and you’re welcome to disagree. But here’s a point that you can’t disagree with: any attempt at mass deportation, such as being proposed at this convention, will result in a far worse situation than anything you’re complaining about now.

I;m very excited by the JD Vance pick. I'd read his book years ago and it resonates. I myself wasn't sold on Trump until midway through his second year. At first, before he came into his own, he seemed to be led by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell and we were getting a dumber Jeb!. But Vance is strong across the board and will move the party more into an appeal across racial lines and away from the Bushtarded Romney focksticks I never even considered voting for, going Democrat in those elections (an era before the Dems went off the rails).

So Tim, what would you say to the families that have lost loved ones at the hands of illegals? Their loss is necessary for the greater good?

No. I would say that the folks who committed those crimes deserve to be punished. And that I would hope that they they don’t blame innocent people that had nothing to do with those crimes.

false equivalency, I welcome all people legally, and have laid out comprehensive ideas for illegals to get work here

when did I mention mass deportation, how about just dont let more in, and ANY crime committed is automatic deportation

I am sure the poor american girls who have been killed and raped appreciate the net benefit

It wasn't relevant then either.  But I perused it.  What a load of crap.  As I've always said with Tim, he forms an opinion and then seeks out "evidence" to support that opinion, not the other way around.  He doesn't use any critical thinking skills to process the "evidence" that he has found.  He takes it at face value and doesn't care what the source is.  That's why he's posted from sources no one has ever heard of, probably not even himself until he started googling for "evidence."   In this case he found what should be a reputable source but if you look at the sources listed at the bottom of the article that they used for this OPINION PIECE, those are crap.

While I don't necessarily disagree- man the amount of people on the right who do that here is staggering as well. I look forward to you calling them out as well.

Can you share his quote about undocumented immigrants and crime?  I can’t seem to find it, although I see he has made comments claiming the net job growth has gone to non-Americans and that he thinks Dems are allowing immigrants in so they will vote Dem.  I don’t really agree with those opinions particularly the first one,  but they don’t make him racist.

I don’t have a direct quote to share. I have heard him in interviews agree with Trump that our crime problems are caused by undocumented immigrants (he calls them “illegal”.) I regard that as a bigoted approach. So that I am not misunderstood- not everyone who shares this view is a bigot. But politicians like Vance should know better.

1. The article I posted listed 5 facts about undocumented immigrants, mainly regarding the high percentage they play in jobs that are vital to our society. You’re welcome to dispute any of those numbers. If you won’t (mainly because you can’t) I will assume that you accept the percentages listed.

2. You seem unduly obsessed about my vacation. I come back tomorrow. Plan on throwing me a welcome back party?

You may be right.  If so, I haven't noticed.  But it's something I've noticed consistently from Tim for years, going back to before he got the PSF closed at FBG's.
