Without watching the video I’ll say Jerry Rice’s career receiving yards: 22,895. More than 5,000 more than anybody else.

Cy Young's 511 wins.  If you win 20 games for 20 straight years you are still 111 away.  There have been three 20-game winners in the last seven seasons.

Good answer, and I've argued for Rice as the best NFL player ever for this reason (similar to my Rickey Henderson best baseball player ever argument).  But... with the way the game has changed, I could see this being challenged.  It would take somebody like Larry Fitz who loves/respects the game to do it, and I'm not sure the current crop of Chase/Jeff have it in them to last past their big paydays, but it could be done.

This was the first one that came to mind. Plus Complete Games at like 750 or something. Unbreakable.

Didn't watch either but Ripken's game streak has to be top 3

I would think Cy Young, Ripken, whoever has strikeouts, complete games, stolen bases and hits wont.

Lebron scoring wont

Could see Phelps getting caught.
Rice? Doubtful but league is going really pass heavy so maybe

I’ll try to do one from each major sport:

Career home runs now that roids are gone

Brady 7 SBs

Gretzky assists and points

Tiger consecutive cuts since I don’t follow NBA

I guess if you call them Super Bowls. But Otto Graham also won 7 NFL Championships. From 1946-55, Hall of Famer Otto Graham and his Cleveland Browns appeared in 10 straight championship games, winning seven. I don't even consider that a player record. That's a team stat. Also Mahomes Chiefs have won 3 and he's 28 years old.

Yogi Berra won 10 WS and played in 75 WS games. Neither of those is listed? Also race car driving and golf not sports.

Only seven hitters have 2000 strikeouts or more.

So I’ll say Reggie Jackson’s 2597

There are a few receivers today who can rival Rice in his prime but I can’t imagine another one playing at a high level for so long. Rice’s career is like ten straight 1,500 seasons from age 22-32 … then right more 1,000-yard seasons til age 40. Insane.

I can’t imagine anyone coming close to his record even in a 17-game season.

Overwhelmed by the number of lame, useless-as-teets-on-a-chicken posts you've ever made here, not a single one of them worthy of holding my jock strap or scooping a cat box.

Sad.

Case in point. You've been bug-crushed. Again.

Just this little thing I squish under my intellectual boot day after day.

Go play with your dolls, drink some hot coco and head to bed, boyo.

Give your blow-up doll a break, lest you pop her.

Ah, another creep Internet stalk of a blog for which I haven't contributed to in years.

Obsess much, old man, as you waste your retirement spending all day here stewing in your misguided, ignorant sociopolitical juices?

Lawd, you make me laugh!

🤣

I'm going to do something more meaningful with my evening. Just stopping by to add my usual seasonings of humor and intellect to send you MAGAbugs scurrying.

Have a great night!

This thread disgusts me of the responses. We can’t talk sports without the personal attacks? I thought my thread would keep it out. Fawking sad.

If a pitcher today struck out 250 batters a year for 22 years straight, they still would have less strikeouts than Nolan Ryan

Tony Gwynn could have gone 0-1100 at the end of his career and still ended up as a career .300 hitter.

I love those weird baseball stats.
